Chinese Modern Science Fiction Literature: Translation and Acceptance in Russia

Abstract:
The subject of the study covers the process of translation and distribution of Chinese science fiction literature in the Russian book market. The main attention is focused on the peculiarities of cultural and literary interaction between Russia and China. The study analyzes the methods and strategies used in the translation process, examines their effectiveness and identifies potential problems. Cultural nuances that play a key role in the perception and adaptation of Chinese fiction by Russian readers are also considered. Through a quantitative analysis of translations and reviews, the article seeks to understand how the attitude towards Chinese science fiction literature has changed in Russia since the beginning of the XX century to the present day. The main conclusions of the study are identification of the steady growth in popularity of Chinese science fiction literature in Russia, as well as emphasis on the features and difficulties associated with the process of translating and promoting these works, taking into account cultural nuances. A special contribution of the author to the research of the topic is a deep analysis and systematization of translation techniques used to preserve the culturally specific features of the source text, as well as an assessment of their impact on the perception of the Russian audience. The novelty of the research lies in the multifaceted analysis of the interaction of Chinese and Russian literary traditions, the consideration of the evolution of the perception of Chinese fiction from the beginning of the XX century to the present, and the identification of key factors determining the successful promotion of Chinese science fiction literature on the Russian market.

Abstract:
In the 21st century, the need for the development of the glossy sector is increasing every day. The main object of the study is the image of female beauty in modern glossy magazines; the subject of the study is the formation of a stereotypical idea of beauty in modern mass media. The purpose of this article is to analyze the linguistic and visual representation of women in modern mass media (based on glossy magazines), as well as the features of the linguistic (linguistic and visual) construction of the image of a woman in modern discursive linguistics. In addition, when conducting this research, not only general scientific methods are used, such as comparison, description, classification, systematization, interpretation, analysis, classification, but also special linguistic methods for analyzing lexical-semantic groups: contextual and stylistic analysis of semantics, the method of psycholinguistic modeling, method of complex analysis. The scientific novelty of the study is due to the subject of the study and the lack of modern comparative studies in the field of the specific representation of the image of beauty in the media (in glossy magazines) for young women. During the study, the features of modern visual culture and mass media products were studied, the standards of beauty and the female image being a sociocultural phenomenon were described, the methods of applying various methodologies to the visual content of glossy magazines and digital analogues were analyzed, axiological pictures of the world in different cultures and social gender stereotypes were partially described, reflected in language, the representation and stereotyping of the beauty of the female image in modern mass media (based on glossy magazines) is analyzed and ways of stereotyping beauty in glossy magazines are identified, including the features of visual design and promotion of content personalization (recommendation technologies) in the modern glossy segment.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the problem of the spread of Russian female novel in China from the end of the 20th century to the present day. The subject of the study is the translation and publication of modern Russian female writers in China. The purpose of the article is to identify patterns of the spread of modern Russian female novel in Chinese society. Using descriptive, analytical and comparative methods, the author tries to analyze the phenomenon of the spread of Russian female novel in China on the basis of Leo Leventhal's theory of literary communication. The author examines in detail such aspects of the topic as the peculiarities of the periodization of the spread of Russian women's prose in China, the main influencing factors in the distribution process, as well as the evaluation of the works of Russian female writers by the Chinese audience. Many studies discuss the perception of the Chinese audience of the works of such Russian writers as L. E. Ulitskaya, T. N. Tolstaya, but the general pattern of the spread of Russian female novel in China has been little studied. The scientific novelty of this work lies in the fact that it for the first time comprehends the process of the dissemination of the works of Russian female writers in China from the point of view of communication. Chinese Russianists are still the dominant force in the distribution of Russian female literature in China, but as the Chinese reading market of Russian female novel is being formed, the influence of readers is becoming stronger.

Abstract:
The goal of this article consists in examination of periodical press issued by the Student Youth Unions of the Russian Far East in the early XX century. Based on the publications of archival printed sources, the author explores the conditions of creation, typological and informative peculiarities of the periodicals in the context of political-economic and sociocultural situation of the 1900-1922. The geography of the current research spreads to the entire Far East. Taking into account the historical context, the boundaries of the conducted research were extended to Zabaykalsky Krai – region that is historically referred to the Russian Far East, and zone of the Chinese Eastern Railway – Northeast China. The research is philological in its essence, leans on the interdisciplinary approach and synthesizes the knowledge of different sciences: literary studies, theory and history of journalism, and culturology. The scientific novelty consists in attraction of the new factual evidence – publication of periodical press that have not previously been the subject of analysis among the Russian and foreign scholars. The new approach in studying Russian journalism of the early XX century became the research of the general patterns of development, as well as peculiarities of functioning of the separate periodicals issued by the Student Youth Unions of the Russian Far East.

Abstract:
The article raises the problem of propaganda of early adulthood in the modern sentimental novel – the books about love for girls. There are three groups of novels. The first group – it's an ordinary Teenager book of good quality, raises relevant problems of formation of character, relationships with adults, peers and teachers, fight injustice, that is "disguised" a novel about love for the acquisition of a stable position in the book market. The second – high-quality Teenager book that combines actual problems with a strong line of love and thus working on early adulthood. The third (unfortunately, the most numerous) – the book of poor quality in which the main theme is love, the characters are sketchy, problems are not worked out, artistic merit are questionable. Such book teaches teenage girl willing to love, to seek relationships with boys and thus serves as an early maturing of readers

Abstract:
Over the last decade many Western sociologists critisizing the capitast society have underlined the hypnotic nature of popular culture. Analyzing modern mass communications Gunther Anders, Theodor Adorno, Max Horkheimer, Raymond Bauer and other authors defne modern popular culture as the 'industry of dreams'. Radio broadcasting, cinema, television are viewed as gigantic channels reproducing illusions, spreading stereotypes of feelings and behavior and creating 'hypnoid culture' playing such an essential role in the modern civilization. The aforesaid researchers view art as the reservoir of secret symbols, illusionary signs and images but not reflection of the reality. At the end of the XXI century sociologists believed that new technologies would only deepend and expand human communication and democracy mechanisms. But today many philosophers are writing about a new totalitarianism threat, mass psychotic disorders and unpredicted fears that may lead to disastrous results.
