DOI: 10.25136/2409-8744.2018.4.26753 URL: https://en.nbpublish.com/library_read_article.php?id=26753
Abstract:
The subject of this research is the range of primary emotions experienced by the medieval Tamil Shaiva bhakti poets who lived in the VI-IX centuries. A profound emotional and aesthetic component of their works and biographies became a part of Shaiva poetic canon “Panniru Thirumurai”, which has records of the new ritual of worshipping Shiva, notable for the heightened emotional involvement (bhakti) of believers. The canon retains its relevance in modern India, being the source of the daily religious practice. As a result, the author reveals the presence of a substantial range of emotions in the works of all primary authors of the canon – from contemptuous-depreciative up to the absolute bliss. The consciously cultivated heightened emotionality of the adept provoked the reaching of the vivid altered states of mind, including insanity as the pinnacle of emotional hierarchy. It is demonstrated that the achievement of such altered state became a necessary condition for following the path of bhakti-yoga and the main trigger launching the mechanisms of poetry writing and visualization of Shiva’s manifestations.

The use of this concept contributed to the efficient carrying out of comparativist analysis of the problematic of inheriting the proto-design of costume of indigenous peoples. Within its framework, the author was able to determine the sociocultural trends and mechanism of inheriting the principles of formation of the objects of costume’s proto-design in the area of ethno- and eco- design of a modern costume. This defines the innovative importance of research, which also demonstrated the instrumentality and optimal theoretical-methodological significance of sincresis of the indicated methodological patterns.

The subject of this research is the use of archetypical constructs within the framework of cinematic universe “The Game of Thrones”. The object is the phenomenon of the modern audiovisual arts. The key aspect of the topic is the analysis of application of the phenomenon of “Scandinavian myth” in modern film industry. The presented features are generalized on the example of created from the novels by G. Martin cinematic universe “A Song of Ice and Fire”, which in is named “The Game of Thrones” film’s release and is one of the brightest examples of “new mythology” in mass consciousness. The author makes the following conclusions: one of the development trends of film industry is the active use of cliché complex, which forms a special cultural reality interpreted as a Scandinavian myth, based on the fatalistic providence; using the phenomenon of time and space manipulation, the hi-tech types of art form the new models of “intellectual field”, which disrupt the outdated information and semantic structures of cultural space. This leads to implementation of the principle of balanced unity, referred to the collective unconscious. Thus, these models develop the concepts of mythology of art, its interrelation with society, which is expressed in the effect of satisfaction of the demands of gross audience.

Abstract:
The subject of this research is the review of game production, namely the Witcher universe as a specific form of text, realized as a combination of the phenomena named the “open world”. The object of this research is the application of archetypes and mythologemes of the developing genre of computer role-paying games (RPG). Particular attention is given to the development of game universes, and one of the factors of its development within the genre of role games – the open world phenomenon, which in the author’s opinion, ensures the formation of new mythology and turns the game space into the specific culturological phenomenon, transforming the mass consciousness by creating a variation affect, suggested to a player in terms of using one or another game project, active research of the so-called “seamless world”. The scientific novelty lies in examination of the little-studied aspects of the evolution of mass culture, namely with active use of multiple mythologemes applied in the entire set of game universes, particularly the Witcher, which is a distinct marker of the development of this direction. Figuratively, consideration of the characterized game universe can be interpreted as a marker of development of the entire industry which allows concluding that the modern game industry actively uses a specific form of the reflection of game reality, called an open world. It is based on several elements (effects) that have archetypical nature.
