Abstract: The article describes the history of formation of Byzantine music school in modern Russia. The author o the article describes cultural, organizational, pedagogical and world outlook problems related to perception of this phenomenon in a modern society. The author also describes the results of the ten years of the project on practical implementation of this kind of music into Russian music schools.
