Koshemarina, S.V. Freedom of speech and ensuring the right for election campaigning.

Abstract: Till the recent times, the mass media tended to call any latest election campaign the dirtiest ever. At the same time any attempt of the government bodies to limit the rights of the journalists to express their opinions on all and any related issues was condemned as a violation of democratic principles of the Russian state. How did it happen that the mass media have a priviledged status in the sphere of freedom of speech? As the author of this article notes, it is no accident.
