Abstract: The article includes critical analysis of the definition of corruption, which is provided in Art. 1 of the Federal Law “On Fighting Corruption”. The author establishes another definition of corruption, and offers to amend the law with the definitions of key terms “persons of public status”, “profit”, “interests of state and society”, “corruption violation”.
