Abstract: Nikolai Shepel's speech is also devoted to the problems of combating terrorism. It examines a number of examples of criminal cases, which he characterizes as a successful experience in the disclosure and investigation of this category of crimes. As N. Shepel notes, the past year was characterized by a steady downward trend in the total number of terrorist crimes against the background of an increase in the severity of their consequences. At the same time, the overall decrease in these crimes in the district from 416 to 255 occurred almost entirely due to a decrease in registered terrorism crimes in the Chechen Republic (by 165 crimes or from 386 to 221).
