Abstract: Leaning on the systemic approach, the author conducts the analysis of the changes taking place in our society with regards to the stages of the development of thinking process. The conclusion is substantiated that the state of society is defined by the level of reasonableness of those who dominate therein; while the inconsistencies and instability is a result of their inadequateness.

Abstract: Methods used by the system thinking allow to view the development process from the point of view of the unity of cogitation, ideas and social practice. The present article contains the system analysis of global transformations ongoing in our society and the rest of the world now as well as the current stage of development. The authors prove that the current stage of development is a transitional period from linear thinking which is based on the concept of truth to the system thinking which is based on the concept of adequacy.
