Abstract: The subject of this research includes: 1) description and explanation of regular behavioral patterns used by criminals who committed an offence against the political system of the Russian Fedceration as well as reasons of such criminal behavior in order to develop scientifically grounded crime prevention recommendations; 2) analysis of suh important features of individuals who committed an offence against the political system of the Russian Federation as the age, gender, ethnic or national attribution of a criminal, etc.; 3) analysis of statistical data of extermism and terrorism supporters who have already been brought to court. The main research method used by the author is the law comparative method to analyze personality of a criminal who committed an offence against the political system of the Russian Federation, and general research methods such as analysis and synthesis. The scientific novelty of the research is caused by the fact that for the first tie in the academic literature the author provides a criminalistic description of the personality of a criminal who committed an offence against the political system of the Russian Federation. The main conclusions are the following: criminalistic analysis of personality traits of a criminal who committed an offence against the political system of the Russian Federation allows to describe such a criminal as a young man without a steady source of income or rich life experience, whose sense of patriotism is either dulled or absent. Such individual has superficial, unsteady or accidental political motives that are formed, as a rule, by a set of circumstances of socio-economic and political nature.

Abstract: The object of studies includes: a) description and explanation of the patterns of development of crimes against the political system of the Russian Federation based upon the analysis of quality and quantity markers, which are interrelated and interdependent; b) mass media materials, informing about initiation of criminal cases and bringing persons to legal liability for the crimes against the political systems of the Russian Federation; c) the main provisions of the legislative acts regulating prevention of crimes against the political system of the Russian Federation. The main method of scientific studies was the comparative legal method for evaluation of crimes against the political system of the Russian Federation, as well as the general scientific methods (analysis and synthesis). The scientific novelty of the said studies is due to the fact that for the first time in the Russian legal science there was a criminological analysis of the crimes against the political system of the Russian Federation. The main conclusions are as follows: The criminological characteristics of the quality and quantity markers for the crimes against the political system of the Russian Federation shows that at the edge of XX and XXI centuries there are obvious tendencies for the growth of the registered crimes against the political system of Russia, such as public calls for the extremist activities, formation of extremist organizations and communities. The statistical data shows that in the Russian Federation in early XXI century the number of encroachments upon the political system is larger than in late XX century.

Abstract: This article presents analysis of special measures of prevention of crimes against the political system of the Russian Federation, including organization, administration, social, psychological and other measures. In particular, the author views such organization and administration measures as complex criminological studies on this issue, organization of efficient international cooperation of states and their law-enforcement bodies in the sphere of crimes against the political systems of the Russian Federation, training and advanced training of the staff, working in this sphere, coordination of prophylactic work against such crimes in the Russian Federation, guaranteeing efficient control over arms turnover in Russia and urgent prevention of unlawful turnover of arms by the law-enforcement bodies. Among the social and psychological measures, the author points out the measures, which are aimed at the formation of the calm attitude among the population, assurance in their security, readiness for mutual aid and assistance to the law-enforcement bodies. The author also studies special subjects of fighting the crimes against political system of the Russian federation, such as the federal government bodies of the Russian Federation, the government bodies of the constituent subjects of the Russian Federation, municipal self-government bodies, prosecution, courts, internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation and their structural divisions.
