Abstract: This article attempts the author's deconstruction of the political mass on the example of modern Russia.
The object of the study is the political mass acting as one political whole.
The subject of the study is metaphors and metamorphoses of the political mass.
The political mass is a whole composed of many small parts. This is a set of political actors represented by contradictory and balancing oppositions. The author examines in detail the complex structure of the mass, which leads to various definitions of the mass in political discourse. The author believes that despite the hidden subjective principle, the mass assumes its own subordination to an influential actor. The mass is often opposed to the power that controls and manages the mass. At the same time, political practice is full of situations when the excessive growth of the mass can make its behavior unpredictable and risky for the authorities. In this article, the author confirms this thesis by the example of various stories from Russian politics. The main conclusion in the framework of the conducted research may be a view of the political mass as a complex and structured entity. At first glance, the political mass, which looks amorphous and devoid of political will, needs pushes, efforts from outside and the will of its master, has a rather serious destructive potential. The mass does not always express the will of the authorities. Periodically, the growth of the subjectivity of the political mass should be noted, when it can directly participate in the decisive moments of history. During periods of revolution, there is every reason to celebrate it. The author believes that the political mass can directly participate in political construction and change the existing dispositions of political actors. The political mass can construct its own elite and legitimize it.
The scientific novelty is the view of the political mass as a political actor, depending on the current political situation, choosing the optimal model of behavior, and taking the most functional form of its own positioning.

Abstract: Existence of the problem of “the protester” within the legal political discourse serves as a proof of a constant human strive towards broadening of their civil rights and liberties. The degree of these liberties directly depends on the definition of the political regime and the existing legal system that motivates a person to broaden their liberties, as well as serving as a form of repression that limits the rights and liberties of a person.
“The protester” is viewed differently within various legal discourses, which testifies of the existing difference in perception of the subject of liberty that pertains to the diversity of the cultural, political and legal traditions.
The author tends to believe that the image of “the protester”, as the society’s right to liberty and demonstration of a protest is differently legitimized by one or another cultural tradition, which reflects in the amount of their rights and liberties that are allocated to them by the legal discourse.
The forming of a certain tendency for protest, its technologies and aesthetics completely depends on the definition of the political regime that formulates specific requirements for the format of liberty within the framework of legal discourse.

Abstract: The research subject is the preferences in clothes of a rebellious person. According to the author, a protesting person does not only tend to political opposition and active oppositional activity. Such a person also demonstrates his right to have an alternative opinion when choosing clothes and often challenges social standards. The author of the present article tries to find out whether there is a correlation between a protesting activity conducted by a citizen and his preferences in clothes. According to the author, clothes help such a person to demnstrate a protesting political writing and create a protesting political text.
To the author's opinion, the best research method here is the method of political hermeneutics that allows to interpret political texts. The novelty of the research is caused by the fact that man's opposing tendencies can be demonstated in his clothes. Clothes convey protesting political messages.
The results of the analysis show that protests have been aestheticized at all times and in all cultures.

Abstract: The author of the article describes features of the cultural policy in the modern Russian province using the example of a city of Yelets in the Lipetzk Region. At all times political authorities have been trying to satisfy the need of the society for both 'bread' and 'circuses'. The content of cultural policy has become an important part of legitimation strategies of the ruling elite that has to address to the Yelets myth in search for new meanings of the policy. The targets of the cultural policy are politically and economically dependent social urban groups which is a typical feature of the modern Russian poilcy in general. Cultural policy implemented by the government is a certain political narrative. In order to understand and properly interpet such a narrative, it is necessary to use the method of political hermeneutics as well as the method of content analysis allowing to focus on the content of the narrative. Emphasis on the cultural element of the policy made by the government proves that the government is trying to increase their own legitimacy which is most likely to mean that there are elections coming soon.
However, there are no clear prospects for Yelets to turn into an economically developed center. Therefore it is most likely to be transformed into a tourist resort area and cultural center of the region which will draw attention to the 'circuses' more than 'bread'.
In the short-term perspective the process of legitimatin of authority in Yelets will be still associated with the cultural issues.
