Abstract: In his article Nabokov analyzes Charles Dickens’ novel ‘Bleak House’ and describes the plot and the heroes’ destinies underlying the particular features of the novel. Nabokov pays honor to the talent and mastery of Dickens and underlines how bright the images in Dickens’ novels are.
