Abstract: This is a biographical essay telling us how a famous Austrian doctor and psychologist, founder of the individual psychology Alfred Adler formed his personality and scientific views. The essay was written by Carl Furtmuller, one of Adler’s associates. Special attention is paid at the role which Sigmund Freud played in Alfred Adler’s life and scientific work.
