Abstract: Before writing her book ‘History of Psychoanalysis’, the author had a discourse with Derrida with the purpose to define his place in the history of French psychoanalysis. She studied Derrida’s interpretation of Freud’s works which is quite different from Lacan’s understanding of the Freud’s theory. The author believes the modern history of French Freudism to be the history of evaluation of Lacan’s and Derrida’s interpretations of Freud’s works.
