Erofeev, K. B. Questions of Librarian Activity and Free Duplication of Literary Works in Accordance with Active Legislation

Abstract: According to the general rules of Russian copyright law, it is permitted to use literary works by other persons only if the author grants his permission and receives his compensation. However, in order to provide access to knowledge and information about current events, there is the law allowing so called ‘free use’ of literary works. Such examples are well known all over the world and permitted by the international conventions on copyright law.
