Peaceful settlement between the parties or an agreement on redress of harm?Abstract: There is a theoretical possibility as well as practical need for widening of the scope of agreements between the parties in the criminal process via the procedures for the redress of harm caused by a crime. The basis for this procedural institution may be found in some elements of the existing order of peaceful settlement in the criminal process.
