Abstract: The subject of the study is the image of a military city in 21st-century Russian literature, explored through the material of "The Militiaman's Romance" by Zakhar Prilepin. The theme of the city, the image of the city, the semantics and metaphysics of the city, the city's space, the city and the natural environment, the home and the city, the human in the city—these are issues traditionally raised by literary studies. Among the questions that make up the urban problematics is, of course, the issue of artistic understanding and description of the military city. Contemporary literature, depicting the unfolding story in Donbas before our eyes, inevitably creates an image of a city at war. It is through the description of the military city that Zakhar Prilepin introduces both heroes and readers to the territory of war; it is through the confrontation with a wounded or destroyed city that the hero and the reader become acquainted with war as the main character. The writer shows how the life of a city changes as war approaches or has already entered it. Its internal state changes; it ceases to perceive itself as a large, confident organism; it loses its pre-war integrity, and thus its familiar appearance transforms, the seemingly unchanging outlines and internal state disappear. The study employs cultural-historical, comparative-historical methods, and the method of holistic analysis of the artistic work, creating a broad problematic field for the comparative study of "The Militiaman's Romance" and other works dedicated to the events in Donbas. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that the image of the military city in "The Militiaman's Romance" by Zakhar Prilepin is examined holistically for the first time. As a result of the research, we concluded that the image of the military city gradually acquires integrity, gains character, and is filled with adequate characters (according to Yu. M. Lotman, "the city turns out to be both the cause and the creator of its history, mythology, literature, and simultaneously their consequence and creation. At the same time, in each link of the semiotic mechanism, dynamic relationships emerge rather than lifeless unequivocal connections, implying the possibility of choice and a certain degree of unpredictability"). The city is a meaningful and meaning-generating space, possessing exceptional uniqueness due to being endowed with historical destiny. The results of the study can be used in the examination of contemporary literature.

Abstract: The subject of the present study is the thematic-semantic characteristics and axiological component of French paremiological units containing the component “mariage,” which reflect traditional representations of marriage. The object of the research consists of paremiological units that include the lexeme “mariage,” which serves as the name of the linguocultural concept of “marriage.” The aim of the study is to identify and systematize traditional views on marriage through the analysis of the linguocultural content and axiological parameters of these paremiological units. The work examines key terms related to various scientific approaches to the study of paremiology, emphasizing the role of the linguocultural concept of “marriage” in the French linguistic worldview. Special attention is given to identifying and systematizing culturally significant meanings that reflect the values of the French people and their evaluative attitudes toward the institution of marriage. For the purpose of this research, a corpus comprising 218 paremiological units containing the component “mariage” was utilized. Among these, 165 units were selected using a comprehensive sampling method from 19th-century French lexicographical sources, ensuring the authenticity of the original material and its cultural-linguistic representativeness. To achieve the stated objective, both general scientific and specific research methods were employed: descriptive method, method of classification and systematization, method of lexical-semantic analysis, and methods of linguocultural and axiological interpretation. The scientific novelty of this research lies in the comprehensive analysis of a substantial corpus of non-adapted authentic French paremiological units containing the lexeme “mariage,” which have not yet been the subject of specialized study. As a result of the analysis, a thematic-semantic classification of paremiological units with the component “mariage” has been conducted, identifying subgroups of paremiological units that contain implicit or explicit ambiguous evaluations of various aspects, such as: the necessity of marriage, the feelings of spouses during the premarital period and their evolution within marriage, happiness and unhappiness in the marital union, criteria for choosing spouses and their impact on the quality of marriage, as well as social and material aspects of marriage. The study reveals the semantic content and axiological significance of these paremiological units, which manifest through the interaction of the literal and metaphorical meanings of their lexical components. The practical significance of this work lies in the expansion of the database on French paremiology and the potential use of its materials in the teaching of university courses in linguocultural studies and intercultural communication.

Abstract: The article examines the methods of implementing detective strategy in the novel "Echo" by the modern Chinese writer Dong Xi. Special attention is paid to the peculiarities of the narrative defined by two storylines, as well as the use of intertextuality techniques that convey the characters' deep immersion in the world of Chinese and world literature. Subject of the study: methods of implementing detective strategy in the novel "Echo" by the modern Hong Kong writer Dong Xi. The purpose of the work is to identify the specifics of using detective strategy as a narrative tool to uncover key aesthetic and moral issues in the novel, as well as to substantiate its belonging to the metamodern paradigm. Methodology: the study uses an integrated approach, including: narrative analysis (the structure of the double plot, narrative techniques), intertextual analysis (identification and interpretation of references to Chinese and world literature), aesthetic and ethical analysis of the novel's problems, a comparative typological method for determining the novel's place in the context of metamodernism. It is established that the detective strategy (search, mystery, investigation) organizes the plot movement along two lines (the line of the heroine Agnes and the line of the novel she is reading), creating the effect of an "investigation" of identity and meaning. It is shown that intertextuality serves not only as a cultural background, but also as a key tool for implementing detective intrigue (searching for literary "keys", deciphering meanings). The central problems are identified: aesthetic – the substitution of authentic life and relationships with art and text; ethical – manifestations of mild parental violence and restriction of children's freedom of choice in family relationships. The author substantiates the novel's belonging to metamodernism: a combination of postmodern techniques (intertextual play, self-reflection, doubt in "reality") with a sincere appeal to serious moral dilemmas and the search for authenticity is revealed. The results of the research can be used in literary criticism in the analysis of modern Chinese (Hong Kong) prose; in the study of narratology, the specifics of the detective genre in "nodetective" texts, as well as in the research of intertextuality and metamodern aesthetics and in the practice of teaching modern foreign literature.

Abstract: Subject of the study is the intermedial relations between verbal and illustrative sign systems in David Mazzucchelli’s graphic novel Asterios Polyp. Object of the study is the interaction of verbal and visual signs in the structure of a creolized artistic text. Aim of the study is to identify the principles of semiotic transformation, in which a verbal sign loses its autonomy and becomes illustrative, while a visual sign, conversely, transcends iconicity and acquires linguistic and narrative functions. The analysis focuses on grapheme-image isomorphism, phonetic motivation, calligrammatic transformation, and font-based individualization. To achieve the stated aim, the study applies exhaustive sampling of key episodes, comparative and interpretative analysis, and paragrammic analysis. The selection of these methods is motivated by the need for a comprehensive examination of transitional forms of verbal and visual signs, revealing their cognitive and semiotic mechanisms, assessing functional and conceptual significance, and exploring how these elements generate new semantic levels within the graphic novel. Scientific novelty lies in developing a systematic typology of artistic-semantic principles underlying semiotic cross-transition in Asterios Polyp. Analysis demonstrates that: 1) grapheme-image isomorphism provides cognitive recognition; 2) phonetic motivation translates verbal signs into the visual-iconic sphere via acoustic representation; 3) calligrammatic transformation desemanticizes verbal signs based on context and indexical reference; 4) font-based individualization forms visual polyphony and carries subject-marking functions. These processes reveal the dynamic nature of semiotic cross-transition, reflecting character psychology and the author’s creative intent. Practical significance of the study lies in its application to research in visual semiotics, intermediality in contemporary culture, and in teaching courses on paralinguistics, paragrammic analysis, and the study of artistic texts.

Abstract: The article is devoted to the semiotics of the educational media discourse. The subject of the study is typologization of the iconic content of the educational media discourse. The object of research is an educational media discourse in the semiotic aspect. As a result of a continuous sample of electronic educational and near-educational media resources, a corpus of media texts (2020–2025) was formed, in which various types of signs are recorded, which appear in the educational media discourse and are studied in Russian and English linguistic cultures. The purpose of the work is to identify the main types of signs in the educational media discourse and to analyze the development of the theory of signs, the study of the classification of signs, the development of a typology of signs based on the material of the modern educational media discourse. The work confirms the hypothesis that educational media discourse as multimodal education reflects the integration of various characters (text, image, sound, video) in media messages on different media channels (print, radio, television, Internet), provides adaptability and multisensory perception of information in modern educational and near-educational media processes. Methodological basic research is a systematic approach that allows to study the educational media discourse as a holistic direction of communication, taking into account its actors, the semiotics of the educational and near-educational media texts produced and the corresponding context. The goal is achieved by applying a set of methods: inductive-deductive, descriptive-comparative, content analysis, discourse analysis, structural, linguosemiotic, interpretive, quantitative analysis. As a result of the study, various types of signs were identified in the educational media discourse: verbal (28%), non-verbal (30%) and mixed (42%), combining several semiotic systems to create multimodal educational and near-educational media messages: 1) verbal-non-verbal, 2) symbolic, 3) interactive psychosocial, 4) digital signs. The combination of different signs makes the learning process more diverse, accessible and comfortable to perceive, especially given the increasing role of digital technologies. The novelty of the work is a new multimodal look at the iconic diversity of the modern educational media landscape in the new digital environment. The results of the study are useful in practical terms in educational activities: in teaching courses in discourse analysis, media linguistics, pedagogical linguistics, linguosemiotics, as well as in the activities of philologists, journalists, teachers, psychologists, advertising and marketing specialists, public relations specialists, etc.

Abstract: The use of dictionaries has a long history and is considered one of the important tools in the process of learning foreign languages. Therefore, having a complete and authoritative dictionary is of great importance for students studying the Russian language and translators. There are many bilingual dictionaries available in Iran, but the dictionary of G. A. Voskanyan is widely used by students and teachers as a reference. It contains a large number of words and their equivalents. All dictionaries may contain incorrect equivalents and words. Such errors are also found in the dictionary of G. A. Voskanyan. Since plants play an important role in human life, this article analyzes and discusses the names of plants in the Russian-Persian dictionary of G. A. Voskanyan. The main goal of the research is to identify and confirm the correct equivalents of these names, as well as to find accurate equivalents for cases where the correspondences are incorrect or incomplete. In addition, English equivalents and scientific names were compiled for all plant names presented in the dictionary. This research contributes to improving the quality of the dictionary and significantly facilitates the translation of texts. The research method is a comparative method between the names of plants from the dictionary of G. A. Voskanyan and reliable botanical sources, as well as the results of field studies. The study of the bilingual dictionary of G. A. Voskanyan, especially in the field of plants, is a new idea that has not been previously worked on. The materials for this research were collected in two ways: from the library of the Tehran Botanical Garden and from professors of botany at Tehran University.

Abstract: Phraseological units are a rather valuable source of information about the national culture of the people. Phraseological units with a color component occupy a separate niche, as new colors appeared with the development of society, and as a result, new names for them. This topic is considered in the works of such researchers as R.M. Frumkina, N.V. Serov, V.A. Ruschakov, V.G. Kulpin. Such a significant number of works devoted to color meaning, in particular color meaning in phraseology, indicates that this linguistic phenomenon has a unique lexical group of color categories, which is periodically updated. However, the color designation in German phraseology has not been studied fully enough in Russian linguistics. In this regard, the subject of the study is color nominations in German phraseology. Here, color definitions seem to be an important part of the German linguistic worldview. In order to explore the idiomatic features of the color worldview of the German language, phraseological units identified by continuous sampling in the monolingual dictionary "Duden" and the bilingual "German-Russian Phraseological Dictionary" compiled by A. Binovich and S.I. Konstantinova are analyzed. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that the variants of color nominations in the phraseological units of the German language have unique features. During the study of color and color designation, it was concluded that the idiomatic color pattern in the German language is a set of expressions with the nominations of basic and additional colors. Basic colors include blue, black, white, green, red, yellow, gray, as well as purple and orange. Comparative and semantic analysis showed the variants of the nominations of each color in the phraseological units of the German language. For example, "der gelbe Neid" is "black envy" in Russian, while "yellow" in German. Non–basic colors include colors with international significance, such as, for example, gold and silver, as well as colors borrowed into the vocabulary of the German language relatively recently - pink, brown, and others. The most common expressions were those with the “blau” nomination “schwarz” and “grün", which means that through these colors passes the most complete perception of the surrounding reality in German culture.

Abstract: The subject of research in this article is the dominant spatial images of "home" and "road." The object of the research is André Gide's novella "Immoralist." The aim of the work is to justify the status of "home" and "road" as dominant spatial images, to identify their relationship, and to determine and explicate their structural fields. The authors of the article outline a range of tasks: to explore the deeper meanings and archetypical values behind the lexical exponents of the spatial dominants "road" and "home"; to study the mythopoetic images that are part of the network of dominant topos, objectifying their meanings; to establish the peculiarity of projecting the principle of sacredness onto the topological model of the novella; to determine the relationships between the topos "home" and "road" in the spatial organization of the work; to identify ideologically significant binary oppositions represented by the topos; and to define the role of the stated dominants in the novella. The methodological tools consisted of structural-semiotic, mythological, and cultural-historical methods, which allowed for the description of the structural and semantic features of the topos "home" and "road." The novelty of the research lies in the fact that a topological approach to the analysis of the novella "Immoralist" is being implemented for the first time. The result of the work is a topological model of the work, including branched lexical-semantic paradigms of the identified dominants. The authors of the article come to the following conclusions: the topos "home" and "road" are dominant; the archetypical image of "home" is conceptualized as a moral value core, a criterion of self-identification based on the distinction between one's own/foreign, moral/immoral; "home" in the plane of heterotopia reveals the topos of the "heavenly home," objectifying through the mythologemes of "garden," "star," "sun," and "moon"; the motif of boundary, associated with the topos "home" and its loci, includes the idea of simultaneous isolation and permeability of space; the archetype "road," developing in a circular trajectory in both horizontal and vertical planes, denotes the metaphor of the evolution of the soul and spirit of the main character; the mythologema "desert," serving as a mediator between the fields of "home" and "road," amplifies the motif of trial and moral choice; through the inclusion of intertextual connections, biblical allusions, and reminiscences, the author presents numerous connotations of the topos, which include mythologemes characterized by semantic ambiguity and polyvalence; the dominant images of "home" and "road" allow the author to highlight the problem of immorality and the philosophical-moral dialogue based on the confrontation between traditional moral views and a new, Nietzschean worldview.

Abstract: The subject of the study is a set of terms, concepts and lexical groups used to describe digital and neural network assistants (‘Alice’, ‘Salyut family’, Siri, Google Assistant, etc.), game companions (Paymon, Eliza, Cortana, etc.) and agents (NPCs, AI-directors, etc.), their functionality and typology (division into hybrid systems, degree of autonomy, interaction with users and players, types of interaction and scope of application). The relevance of the research lies in the need for a systematic analysis of the dynamically developing terminology related to digital and gaming assistants in the context of rapid technical evolution. The study recovers a gap in the study of terminological systems emerging at the intersection of the gaming industry and AI-technologies. The emergence of new categories of names demonstrates the need for constant monitoring of terminology in these multimodal areas. The convergence and separation of terminological systems of the digital and gaming fields allows us to talk about the scientific novelty of the material under study, since the future trend is marked by the specialization of terms, the convergence of gaming and digital assistants, and the emergence of new categories as technology develops. The terminological system of digital assistants retains the conceptual framework laid down by gaming analogues but significantly expands and refines it in accordance with the needs of the non-gaming world. The main conclusion of the study is that the two terminological systems are moving closer and further away from each other due to the influence of technical terminology on the digital sphere, but they have many common names and naming concepts, the basis of which is hidden in the basic terminology of the playing field. The unification of terms is critical for developers, linguists, and localizers working with cross-platform projects.

Abstract: The article focuses on the study of the intersections and differences in the narrative motifs of the Nart epic and the Adyghe tales, which reflect historical and heroic events. The study emphasizes the mythological foundation of these works, analyzing their narrative structures and cultural contexts. The main goal of the article is to identify the common and distinctive features between the two genres of the Adyghe oral tradition, in order to better understand their historical and cultural significance. The article involves the use of various textual analysis methods, which will allow us to identify not only the content, but also the deep meanings hidden in these narratives. The idea behind the article is to explore how the rich oral tradition of the Adyghe people reflects their cultural values and historical memory through narrative motifs. The main problem addressed in the article is the lack of a comprehensive analysis of the narrative motifs in the Nart epic and the Adyghe tales, which would reflect both their mythological foundation and historical contexts. The relevance of the study lies in the need to understand the cultural heritage of the Adyghe people and its significance in modern society. The purpose of the study is to identify the similarities and differences in the narrative motifs of the Nart epic and the Adyghe tales. The objectives of the study are: 1. To conduct a comparative analysis of the narrative motifs. 2. To explore the mythological basis of both genres. 3. To analyze the influence of historical events on the formation of plots. Despite their shared roots, the Nart epic and the Adyghe tales have unique features that reflect the specific historical and cultural context of each genre. In this article, we have explored the similarities and differences in their narrative motifs, which provide insights into how mythology and history intertwine in these works. We have examined how different narrative structures shape perceptions of heroes, their exploits, and moral values, as well as how they reflect historical events and social realities.

Abstract: Interest in the study of meta-linguistic commentary is driven by relevant issues of mutual understanding and intercultural communication in the modern world. The subject of the research is the sociolinguistic conditioning of meta-linguistic commentary in the literature of the Anglo-Celtic borderland. The aim of the study is to identify the sociolinguistic features of meta-linguistic comments in artistic works about the Anglo-Celtic border. The material for the study consists of four novels by L. Becket about the Anglo-Celtic borderland of the mid-20th century. Sociolinguistic characteristics of meta-linguistic comments are identified in the artistic works about the Anglo-Celtic border, the plots of which are already conditioned by the problem of mutual understanding among speakers of different languages and cultures. A classification of the objects of meta-linguistic commentary in the novels is carried out. The authors examine meta-linguistic comments in graphic, phonetic, and grammatical forms, as well as meta-linguistic comments on lexical phenomena. Cases of meta-linguistic commentary on extralinguistic reality, serving as reflection on speech behavior, are analyzed. Attention is paid to the use of linguistic terminology in the meta-linguistic discourse of characters. The methods of research include sociolinguistic analysis, functional-contextual method, and descriptive method with techniques of analysis, generalization, and classification. The main conclusions of the conducted research are the identification of the dependence of the content and object of meta-linguistic commentary on the sociolinguistic parameters of language and cultural diglossia in the borderland. Meta-linguistic commentary in the works of the borderland appears as a complex phenomenon operating on both surface and deep levels using terminology and figurative means, directly relating to linguistic and extralinguistic levels. Figurative means replace more complex and specialized linguistic terminology, as meta-linguistic commentary is based on intuitive thinking about language phenomena. A special contribution of the authors to the research of the topic is the detailed analysis of the meta-linguistic reasoning of the narrator and characters and the systematic description of the objects of meta-linguistic commentary. The novelty of this work lies in the identification of the formats of manifestation of the sociolinguistic conditioning of meta-linguistic commentary in the literature of the borderland: in the thematic reflections on the use of linguistic units, in the evaluation of the speech behavior of social groups and individuals, and in the comparative analysis of linguistic phenomena and speech behavior in the context of cultural-linguistic interaction.

Abstract: The proposed article is devoted to the study of the phonetic composition of the Bakhtiari dialect within the framework of the linguistic and geographical map of modern Iran. The Bakhtiari dialect is a linguistic variation of the Lur language, which belongs to the southwestern block of Iranian languages and dialects. The peculiarities of the territorial situation and the high level of linguistic deviation make it difficult to fully study all the elements of the linguistic picture of Iran. To date, only the Tehran dialect has been studied in detail, which formed the basis of the literary norm of the New Persian language. The interest that has arisen has shown that the role of the Bakhtiari dialect in the linguistic picture of Iran is poorly understood and insufficiently covered by the scientific community – today there is not even a consensus on the origin of this ethnic group, nevertheless, the regions inhabited by Lurs and Bakhtiars have great economic potential, which only reinforces the need for a more detailed study of the above dialect. The object of the study is the Luri-Bakhtiari dialect, as an integral part of the linguistic picture of modern Iran. The subject of the study is the phonetic features inherent in this dialect. In this work, methods of description and comparison were used. The phonetic features in the Bakhtiari dialect were identified by the description method, and the results obtained were compared with the literary norm of the Persian language by the comparison method. The author states that the pronunciation norm of the Bakhtiari dialect differs significantly from the Tehran pronunciation, which is considered normative. The most characteristic feature is, perhaps, the qualitative reduction of a short (unstable) sound [a] in an unstressed position and its transition to a labialized, unstable sound [o]. There is also a tendency for qualitative reduction of deaf slotted and bowed noisy sounds. Also, among the most characteristic features of the Bakhtiari dialect, one can perhaps name the more tense pronunciation of the sounds [d], [t], [k], [n] and [q], the slight palatalization of the sounds [r] before the rounded unstable vowel [o] and the more tense pronunciation of the vowels [i], [o] and [a]. Despite the fact that the pronunciation norms in Luri-Bakhtiari differ from Tehran, nevertheless, this dialect is easy to understand, so there are no special difficulties when communicating with native speakers of this language variation.

Abstract: The proposed article is devoted to the study of the categories of tense and verb aspect in the Bakhtiari dialect within the linguistic and geographical map of modern Iran. The Bakhtiari dialect (Luri-Bakhtiari) is a linguistic variation of the Lur language, which belongs to the southwestern block of Iranian languages and dialects. Features of the territorial position and the high level of linguistic deviation make it difficult to fully study all elements of the linguistic picture of Iran. Iranian dialectology is currently unable to draw a clear line of demarcation between the dialects themselves and closely related languages. The object of the study is the Luri-Bakhtiyari dialect, as an integral part of the linguistic picture of modern Iran. The subject of the study is the aspectual tense forms of the verb of this dialect. In this work, the methods of description and comparison were used. The description method was used to identify specific features of the verb in the Luri-Bakhtiari dialect, and the results were compared with the literary norm of the Persian language using the comparison method. The author claims that the collection of data in the form of notes and comments and their subsequent analysis using the comparative method allowed to conclude that there is a big difference between the standard Persian language and the Bakhtiari dialect. Thus, the article examines in detail the typo-modern system in the Bakhtiari dialect. It was found that there are 7 forms of verb tense in the Bakhtiari dialect and the main way of forming these forms is to attach various person indicators to the verb stem. It is assumed that the results of the work will be used in the classification and description of the grammar of the Luri-Bakhtiari dialects.

Abstract: This study is concerned with communicative variation of syntactic structure, which is expressed in the existence of their variants, contrasted, on the one hand, by communicatively relevant characteristics attributed to individual components of the structure, such as rheme (focus) and theme (topic), and, on the other hand, by a series of formal means, including its constituent order, intonation and morphosyntactic properties. The research is based on a sample of realizations of three typical syntactic structures with prototypical spatial semantics in Surgut Khanty texts. As a result of the analysis of these utterances from the point of view of their formal and communicative organization, a series of communicative variants forming the paradigm of each typical syntactic structure are identified. The research shows that the constituent order and intonation are the predominant means of forming basic communicative oppositions determined by the choice of the leading component in the utterance’s focal part. This conclusion contrasts with the widespread notion of morphosyntactic variations such as passive voice, object conjugation and case marking of different nominal components of the structure being the dominant means of communicative variation. Considering such means in the context of the communicative paradigm of different types of syntactic structures shows the limitations of their communicative functions in comparison with system of oppositions expressed by constituent order and intonation. Thus, from the point of view of the typology of communicative systems proposed by R. Van Valin Jr., the Surgut Khanty communicative system could be viewed as representing a type of systems characterized by variability of constituent order in combination with limited domain of focus.

Abstract: The subject of the research is the English sport oriented motivational discourse, its defining and distinctive features. The purpose of the study is to determine the specifics of the representation of the English sport oriented motivational discourse. The author examines such aspects of the topic as the features of expressing sport oriented motivational discourse in modern communication and the lexical characteristics of this type of discourse. The relevance of this study is due to the growing interest of society in motivational speeches and personal growth trainings, which is associated with the desire to improve labor efficiency and achieve success. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of lexical and stylistic means to establish the distinctive features of the sport oriented type of motivational speeches. Identification of this type of English motivational discourse was based on the communicative purpose of the utterance, the specifics of the participants in communication and extralinguistic factors. The following methods were used: linguistic analysis; content analysis; the method of contextual analysis; discourse analysis. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the English sport oriented motivational discourse has some specific features that allow it to be distinguished as an independent type of motivational discourse. The author's special contribution to the study of the topic is the definition of the key features of sport oriented motivational discourse. The analysis of the communicative goal, participants in communication and language means demonstrates the features of verbalization of sports-oriented motivational discourse. Based on these characteristics, distinctive features of this type of discourse were established. Among them, high expressiveness, brevity of presentation and specificity of the message deployment stand out. The practical significance of the study lies in the development of the typological specificity of motivational discourse.

Abstract: The article is devoted to the issues of modern visualization of media products reflecting the historical memory of the people. The author analyzes one of the most important forms of non–verbal media communication - photography. The author presents the results of a study based on the psycholinguistic analysis of visual products and specifically the analysis of photographic images. The object is the republican newspaper "Daimohk" (Chechen Republic), which is published in the Chechen language. The rationale for the choice of the research object was the uniqueness of the publication - the first newspaper in the world published exclusively in the Chechen language. The visual material of the newspaper is not only an addition, but also a translator of the ideas and values of the Chechen people for those who view the publication. Among the reasons that contributed to the choice of the publication is the great and long–term popularity of the newspaper among the Chechen people.The main characteristics of the photographs in the newspaper are revealed - documentality, demonstration of the spiritual qualities of the people, the reality of what is happening in the frame, which speaks about the national identity of the publication. Techniques of effective influence on the reader can be useful and in demand by regional and federal media.
