// Trends and management.
2013. № 1.
P. 72-77.
URL: https://en.nbpublish.com/library_read_article.php?id=62589
Abstract:
The article focuses on the choice of method adequate
to quantify the level of risk of financial
assets portfolio. The author analyzes the basic
methods of calculating Value at Risk and provides characteristics of the measures of risks
under study and classification of methods to
assess them. The author consistently studies
the methods of «full assessment» (the method
of historical simulation and Monte-Carlo
method) and «local evaluation» (parametric
technique) and presents basic principles of
implementation of the methods, formulas for
calculating Value at Risk, requirements to initial
values, predictive capabilities and accuracy
characteristics of the methods. The study
draws conclusions on the possible use of various
implementations of methods for calculating
Value at Risk for the purpose of analyzing
various portfolios of financial assets and
various types of financial risks (market risk,
credit risk). The author mentions the necessity
of further development of the method of
local evaluation not sensitive to the nature of
distribution of the stochastic variable.

methods for the risk identification.
The author establishes the criteria for the
recognition of venture investment risks for
the entrepreneurial structures, as well as the
limitations of use of venture capital for the
financing of innovative projects. The methodology
of risk identification for the venture
investment in entrepreneurial structures is
based upon the use of economic and mathematical

the methods of solving direct and inverse
problems, as well as sensitivity studies.

Global perspectives for the space activities
in the first half of the XXI century
// Trends and management.
2013. № 1.
P. 97-110.
URL: https://en.nbpublish.com/library_read_article.php?id=62592
Abstract:
The goal of this study is to form propositions
for the development of the space activities
of the Russian Federation in the long-term
perspective. The analysis of tendencies in
the development of space technologies and
the perspectives of space programs of the
leading world powers shows that the Russian
space plans are falling behind them. It
seems reasonable to complement the longterm
space activity strategy of Russia with
the following topical goals: formation of the
new maximally efficient space transportation
system, which would allow to lower the costs
of bringing the valuables to the low orbit to
1500 – 2000 USD per kilo. Having an efficient
STS, one may start the industrial use of the circum-terrestrial space; development
and production of the heavy and super-heavy
launch vehicles over the 40 tons, as well as
the interplanetary space vehicles for the new
STS over the limits of the low orbits in the
near future; formation for the large sputnik
platforms at the geo-stationary orbits with
the use of STS in order to solve the applied
problems of military and civilian nature, as
well as fundamental studies of the Moon, the
Mars and the closest asteroids; development
and production of the technical means for the
use of the STS in order to change the trajectory
of asteroids in case of threat of their collision
with the Earth, which may lead to the
global catastrophe. The implementation of
the ambitious program by Russia can guarantee
the innovative breakout to the new technologies,
which in turn shall facilitate the
successful transition of the economics of our
state to the 6th technological mode.

Managing the quality system

of services
// Trends and management.
2013. № 1.
P. 111-114.

Abstract:
Unlike the goods, the services have some specific
features, which have to be taken into account.
These specific features are due to the fact that the
services are not material and cannot be preserved.
The customer cannot see and evaluate the service
before he purchases it, since the sale of service
comes before its provision. That is why the choice
of customer is based on trust towards the person
providing services. The modern companies do not
limit their business to the main sphere of activity,
and they provide additional services both for the
clients and for their own needs. For example, the
production companies provide service support to
their products, the transportation companies have
their own warehouse and the electric stations start
selling the electric energy. Additionally, many
companies purchase exterior assets, which do not
directly relate to the sphere of their basic activity.
