Abstract: The article is devoted to the study of the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) on modern journalism in the system of digital media communications. Both threats and opportunities introduced by new neural network technologies are under consideration. The article presents the results of a survey conducted among representatives of creative professions, the purpose of which was to find out the attitude to artificial intelligence and its role in their professional activities. The article focuses on the need for further research and regulation of the use of neural network technologies to minimize risks of their use in media communications. To conduct the study, a survey method was chosen that allowed to collect quantitative data on the opinions and perceptions of AI by representatives of the media industry. The scientific novelty of this study lies in the systematic analysis of opinions and perceptions of AI among representatives of professions that receive their main financial income through creative and intellectual work, such as journalism, advertising and public relations, design, music, etc. Unlike most existing studies that focus on the technical aspects of AI, this study focuses on the social and ethical aspects of its application. This allows us to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the role of AI in society and identify key factors influencing its perception. The practical significance of the study lies in the fact that its results can be used to develop recommendations for integrating AI into various spheres of life, as well as regulating issues of control over the use of neural network technologies in modern society. Artificial intelligence (AI) is one of the main technologies leading to digital transformation and the so–called fourth industrial revolution. The symbiosis of a machine, a person and a computer is a key feature of phenomena such as virtual reality, video games, smartphone applications, smart watches, information search using voice recognition, etc. Other examples are home assistants created by Google, Amazon, Yandex. The prevailing view in the scientific literature is that digital transformation has a radical impact on work and employment, and the introduction of artificial intelligence and other digital technologies leads to significant job losses.

Until recently, the main interest in the impact of AI has been focused on routine professions, as well as those activities and tasks that can be improved through automation and AI applications. However, recently this interest has spread to the fields of art and creativity, given that AI also affects them. Modern media communications are an excellent example of the integration of new computer technologies, increasingly we are talking about the ability of artificial intelligence to draw pictures, compose music, animate photographs, write thematically and stylistically complex texts, create graphic design, etc.

But what exactly is the impact of AI on media communication professionals and representatives of creative professions, such as journalism, music, advertising and public relations? Creativity is one of the human abilities that is considered the most difficult to emulate. Creative professions are based on creative thinking and require a non-standardized approach to tasks. At the center of this creative and intellectual activity is the concept of "inspiration", which neural networks are not able to copy.

To maximize the understanding of the perception of representatives of creative professions of the situation around the rather intensive process of integrating AI into everyday and professional life, we conducted a pilot survey. The study sample included 483 respondents (251 men aged 18-35, 232 women aged 18-35) of creative professions (journalists, designers, bloggers, producers, musicians, artists, composers, photographers and videographers). They expect that with the development of technology, AI will become more capable of performing complex tasks that require these qualities.

These respondents point to unique human qualities such as empathy, creativity, and adaptability that cannot be replicated by machines. It should be noted that there is a relatively small number of studies on this topic in Russian linguistics. The article is innovative, one of the first in Russian linguistics devoted to the study of such issues. The work was carried out in the scientific specialty of Media Communication and journalism (sociological sciences). This work was done professionally, in compliance with the basic canons of scientific research. The article presents a research methodology, the choice of which is quite adequate to the goals and objectives of the work. In addition to general scientific methods and methods of linguistics, the author resorts to statistical methods such as interviewing and processing results, which are visually presented in the form of diagrams. The practical material was a quota sample of the study, which included 483 respondents (251 men 18-35 years old, 232 women 18-35 years old) of creative professions (journalists, designers, bloggers, producers, musicians, artists, composers, photographers and videographers).
