Abstract: The author of this article analyzes the development of military defence complex of the USSR and offers some ways for the optimization in order to find solutions to the problems of the Russian defence industry though the prism of greater prosecutor control over the implementation of law at important objects of this industry in Russia. In particular, the author offers to restore the vertical structure of prosecution with the special department at the Prosecutor-General’s Office.
