Abstract: The article analyzes views discussed by an American psychologist Gordon Allport. The latter developed a number of rules for psychoanalysts managing psychotherapy. At the samt time, American psychoanalyst viewed personality as a complex and ever-developing system of habits, stereotypes and personal traits.
