Gurevich, P. S. Marxist and Non-Marxist Esthetics

Abstract: the title of this article gives a name for a complex of esthetical conceptions of art, his role in social life, peculiarities connected with the perception of the world and social conscious which were created within Marxist and non- Marxist philosophy. The author tries to show us that the interest in this complex of esthetical conceptions is rather lost nowadays. This article is an attempt to describe the basic concepts of esthetics based on Marx’s philosophy.
