Abstract: There is quite a number of works devoted to the symbol. Symbol is studied from all points of view. Philosophers speak of the symbol as a cognitive term and they discuss the ontogenesis of the symbol, its difference from a sign, hermeneutics of a symbol and symbolic nature of culture.
