Ivanova, L. S. Panaetius as the founder of the “Middle Stoa” and his philosophyAbstract: The article is devoted to the philosophy by Panaetius of Rhodes, the founder of the so called “Middle Stoa” and one of the famous Greek philosophers who was close to Scipio’s club and contributed to Roman philosophy. The author analyzed how much Panaetius’ doctrines depended on the Early Stoa teachings. The author also reviewed Panaetius’ approach to logic, knowledge theory, natural philosophy and ethics.
