Abstract: The article views the problem of the risk of addiction to bad habits (for instance, chemical abuse such as drugs, alcohol, gambling and etc.) from the point of view of social studies and philosophy. The author proves that the addiction phenomenon is a true threat both for the society and each person – victim of such a risk.
