Abstract: The article is devoted to the topical issues of strengthening of political stability in Russia. The author analyzes the general and specifi c aspects connected with the potentials and perspectives of development of the mentioned above process taking into account the ethnic and religious diversity in the Central Asia and Northern Caucasia.
