Yaroshkina, M. E. Role of Russia in Development of Integration Processes in the Central Asia within EurAsEC

Abstract: The article studies the peculiarities of development of integration processes in post-Soviet countries, in particular, the problem of integration co-operation within EurAsEC. The author also described formation of trade and economic relations between Russia and EurAsEC members, the basic trends of Russia’s investment policy in EurAsEC, some issues of foreign political relations between Russia and Central Asian countries (particularly, energy cooperation and cooperation between EurAsEC state members in the sphere of regional security and stability and resistance to new challenges and threats. The article also considers some approaches to evaluating the role of Russia in CIS activity and Russia’s participation in regional integration projects in the Central Asia.
