Abstract: So, the Housing Code of the Russian Federation is in force. A number of its provisions causes scientific and practical discussion. The lay people also are suspicious towards it, and they feel that it might contain latent threats to their stability. The authors of this article put their share into the discussion and express their opinion on a number of most serious shortcomings of the new Housing Code of the Russian Federation.
