Okhonko, Y.N. Russian Northern Caucasus in XVIII century: searching for a concept.

Abstract: This article includes an attempt to solve the terminological complication in the Russian historical and legal science in the sphere of political and geographical terms, characterizing the Southern North Caucasian end of the Russian Empire of XVIII century. Base on analysis of word usage, some publications on the history of this region, as well as some theoretical and legislative sources, the author offers his option for the most correct terms.
