Abstract: This article is devoted to the role of geoeconomic factor within the process of transformation of the political regime in Azerbaijan. The author held a retrospective analysis of the political regime in Azerbaijan in 1918 – 1920s. The author also analyzed the systemic value of the oil factor in the formation of the political regime in the modern Azerbaijan.
