Speech of Joel Lebeschu
Abstract:
At this part of seminar Joel Lebeschu speaks of communications between the government officials and the mass media in a democratic state. As he points out, if there is a crisis situation, the government should be a trustworthy source of information for the media, while addressing the mass media in an official language. If the mass media get an impression that the government does not have the information needed, they shall search for sources of information elsewhere and they shall find such sources, for example, among the general population.
