Ethnosemiotics of color meanings in the work of the Khanty poet V. S. Voldin
// Philology: scientific researches.

DOI: 10.7256/2454-0749.2024.5.70665 EDN: BXNKDK URL: https://en.nbpublish.com/library_read_article.php?id=70665
Abstract:
The article describes the ethnosemiotic features of the use of color meanings in the work of the Khanty poet Vladimir Semyonovich Voldin. Based on the material of works from the collection of V. S. Voldin "So Molupsi: poems in Khanty and Russian languages" (1998), the dependence of the color meanings chosen by the artist on the constants of national culture contained in the images of the Upper – Middle – Lower worlds and the associated color triad of white – red – black is proved. The paper attempts to comprehend the originality of the work of Voldin, the poet of Ugra, in whose poetic texts the symbolic ambiguity of coloratives is explained by the normative and value orientations of the Khanty people in general and the Khanty man in particular; purely author's color associations; socially and culturally determined factors. The work uses historical-cultural, linguistic-cultural, comparative, descriptive methods, techniques of continuous sampling, contextual analysis, comparison, generalization, classification, systematization of material, as well as the technique of component analysis of color values. V.S. Voldin refers to artists with an amazing fate and great talent. Life itself in all its manifestations has become a source of creative activity and poetic inspiration for the author. The lyrical space of Vladimir Semyonovich Voldin reflects the features of the culture and way of life of the Khanty people, the national flavor of his life is determined. To date, there are no special studies devoted to color values in the works of Vladimir Voldin. Only in some scientific materials mentions the color functioning on the pages of the author's poetry. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that for the first time the ethnosemiotic analysis of color meanings in V. S. Voldin's poetry is comprehensively presented. The analysis allows us to conclude that V. S. Voldin's lyrical text is hierarchical, with a pronounced everyday, monological consciousness, color meanings more often have functional symbolism. Voldin's color designations are a significant part of the world, the image of northern nature, the image of the Khanty man, they form an integral part of the conceptual sphere of the ethnos.

"I'm some kind of anti-Browning": the counterpoint of the English pretext and subtext in the "Poem without a Hero" of A. Akhmatova
// Philology: scientific researches.

Abstract:
The subject of the study is the intertextual dialogue of the "Poem without a Hero" by A. Akhmatova with texts by Robert Browning: the poetic diptych "Porphyria's Lover" and "My last Duchess". The object of the study is the counterpoint of the pretext and subtext of English literature in the multilayered and polysemantic text of the "Poem without a Hero", to which Akhmatova herself attributed the "triple bottom". The authors consider in detail the overlap of the motives of Browning's poems with the text of the "Poem without a Hero" and demonstrate the systemic "mirroring" of the reflection of situations: the complexes of the motives of the Browning diptych in Akhmatova are inverted. Particular attention is paid to the issues of various interpretations of the text of the poem "Porphyria's Lover" and related interpretation options for individual scenes and fragments in the text of the "Poem without a Hero". The main conclusions of the study are the establishment of an unambiguous semantic connection of the "Poem without a hero" with two Browning poems. The research methods include comparative-historical and intertextual. A special contribution of the authors to the study of the topic is the substantiation of the trace of Robert Browning's diptych in the text of "Poems without a Hero": traditionally, another work of Browning is indicated among the sources of the poem. The novelty of the research is determined by the involvement of new material and the proposal of a new reading of Akhmatova's self-identification as "anti-Browning". These words should be deciphered not only by projecting the relationship of the Browning and Barrett pair onto the Gumilev and Akhmatova pair, but also as a reference to the mirror reversal of the situations described by Browning in the dramatic monologues of the diptych.

DOI: 10.7256/2454-0749.2019.6.31826 URL: https://en.nbpublish.com/library_read_article.php?id=31826
Abstract:
This article makes an attempt of philological analysis of Platon Oyunsky’s poem “Farewell”. Systemic analysis of the poem at the sound, stylistic and ideological-imagery levels allows describing the attributes of P. Oyunsky’s innovativeness in using the syllabic verse of versification in the Yakut poetry, as well as determining the use of most frequency verbs and verb forms that endow the oeuvre meditativity and philosophicity. The authors reveal and explore the thematic fields: human and nature, time and space, human and society, death, poet and immortality. In the literary work, any element of the text is significant, as it carries a certain ideological weight, and thus, must be considered in the development of comprehensive philological analysis. A holistic philological analysis of the flagship poem of Platon Oyunsky is presented for the first time within the Yakut literary studies. The conducted philological analysis of the poem “Byrastɨ” (“Farewell”) once again proves the innovativeness and poetic mastery of P. Oyunsky. He was first in the Yakut poetry who used the syllabic verse and enriched its strophe. The poet in his work favors the nouns with the affix of belonging, mostly personal pronoun, which allows expressing his innermost feelings. Figurative and onomatopoetic words prevail among the verb forms, due to which the poem become not only lyrical, but also solemn and dramatic.

Abstract:
The subject of the research is the rhythmic speech division in free verse based on the analysis of the poem 'I am greeting everyone' written by a brilliant representative of the second wave of Russian poetic avant-garde, Igor Holin (1920–1999). The object of the research is the main components of rhythmic division and line as a rhythmic unit of a text. The author of the article focuses on the primary, secondary and vertical rhymne of lines and potential influence of a syllabic-accentual metre on the text rhyme. The researcher pays special attention to rhythmic structures of speech that ensures free division and intonational variety of free verse. In his research Patolyatov uses observation and description as the common methods of research in poetry linguistics as well as statistical and experimental methods. This is the first article in the academic literature to analyze the rhythmic structure of Igor Holin's free verse. The results of the research demonstrate that the growth in the number of divisible elements in a text is caused by the poet's focus and emphasis on particular words or word combinations. The author's special contribution to the research is the combination of methods that are used in poetry studies and the method of linguistic text analysis.

Abstract:
In this article the poetry is considered as one of opportunities of disclosure of historicity and temporariness of human existence by means of a metaphor and gnoseological advantages of a poetic metaphor. The poetry appears as the reflection of spirit of the people, their history and perception of existence in general and nature in particular. Features of the western, easten and Russian types of poetic attitudes are revealed, the predictive aspect of the poetry is underlined. The predictive aspect of the poetry is studied from the point of the unity of its ontologic component: the poetry is the disclosure of existence and experience of the history of human being. The interrelation between the turning, crisis points of history and existence and predictive opportunities of poetry comes to light and the poetry mysticism is denied. According to the author, the predictive role of the poetry is inseparable from the civic consciousness and humanism. The main research methods used by the author to reveal the historicity of the poetry and to describe the ontological and predictive aspects of the poetry include dialectical and phenomenological methods. The author concludes that the poetry does not simply transfer the feeling of time but also conveys the personal position of the poet, his 9r her evaluation of the time and history. It is noted that in better times the poetry stays in the literature shadow and the prose comes out on top, but at the time of changes the poetry gathers numerous audiences in cafes and stadiums because poetic rhythms are conformable to the rhythms of listeners and time.

DOI: 10.7256/2454-0749.2015.3.67175 URL: https://en.nbpublish.com/library_read_article.php?id=67175
Abstract:
The article is devoted to the analysis of creative work of a famous Russian and Soviet poet Boris Chichibabin. This poet had an uneasy life. He had to live through and accept the experience of being imprisoned. He experienced hatred and malevolence of other authors. The poet's creative work was too far from rules and standards of literary writing. He was called the 'genius graphomaniac'. Is it an oxymoron? Graphomania is the antipode of genius. However, Boris Chichibabin was certainly a genius. The author of the present article focuses on the main themes of Boris Chichibabin's poetry such as love, passion, spirituality, death and literary gift. Gurevich emphasizes that Chichibabin's poetry has no negative or dark moods. Anger or rancour is alient to him. In the course of his research Gurevich has used hermeneutical methods of textual analysis allowing to reveal the hidden meaning, codes and symbols of the poem. The author also bases his research on the methods of philosophical analysis of human and his passions. Russian academic literature does not have so many articles or researches devoted to Borish Chichibabin. One of such article is the essay 'The Lonely School of Love. Poetry of Borish Chichibabin' written by G. Pomeranets. Being a famous culture expert, Pomeranets tries to demonstrate the true value of Chichibabin's poetry as well as his role in the history of Russian culture. In his essay Pomeranets relates particular poems written by Chichibabin to life situations experienced by the poet. Still, Boris Chichibabin's poetry deserves a more detailed critical analysis, in particular, analysis of his particular style and genre. Of course, just one research article wouldn't be enough to achieve this goal. Gurevich's article is rather an invitation for a more detailed and comprehensive analysis of the creative work of this famous poet.

In this article poetry of Lermontov is considered from the view point behind imaginative philosophical
meanings, many of which remain a mystery to this day. Drawing attention to the fact that the debate on the past and continuing today, the author shows the diversity of the poetic heritage of the poet, identifying its unique feature – the
inexorable force of the impact of metaphysical ideas about life and death, freedom and necessity, the spiritual and the
corporeal, the sublime and the low-lying, the divine and the human. The default setting is the author’s analysis – all the
poetry of Lermontov’s romanticized perception of the world, who gave his own version of the national culture romantic
personalism. The author traces how in the poet’s poetic images are reproduced through the state of the human soul
tossing between perfect and evil, between good and evil in search of agreement not only with yourself but also with
Heaven. Sizemskaya believes the antithesis of the earth and the sky as the two polar elements of human existence to
be the cross-cutting issue of poetic heritage Lermontov . The article shows that Lermontov in native spiritual culture
according to a new understanding of the divine in which the poles of God and man come together in divinely that the
recognition of this new dimension of the world poet eliminates fatality split between the Demon and God as between
heresy and truth, introducing poetry in new semantic space. Lermontov, the author believes, the nation’s first spiritual
culture was an attempt to translate the sacred from the «beyond» in the «worldly.» Through the image of the Demon,
who determined the emotional and vector semantic searches across Lermontov’s poetry, the question whether it is
possible harmony, harmony in relations between heaven and earth. The author concludes that the deeper meaning of
Demon’s searches is metaphysical: it is not directed against specific conflicts, and against the «fundamental untruth of
life on earth,» which the poet and his hero is associated with God justified restriction of freedom for personal expression.
At the heart of these quests rebellion personality requiring the right to personal choice of the method and way of life,
happiness and love.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the main socio-cultural factors that influenced the formation of Virginia Woolf’s creative
method. The problems studied by the author of the article are quite topical and perspective as a part of cultural
interpretation of the process of ideological interactions between different spheres of culture. As a part of her research,
the author analyzed both critical works and prose written by Virginia Woolf. Based on this analysis the author concludes
that the narrative methods used by Virginia Wolf (such as stream of consciousness, inner monologue, intertextuality)
were formed under the influence of a whole complex of socio-cultural tendencies and art movement famous in early XX
century in Europe. Among the most significant factors influencing the formation of Virginia Woolf’s creative conceptions,
the author of the article underlines the literary dispute between the Edwardians and Georgian poets, European fancy
for Russian culture, the first wave of feministic ideas, psychoanalysis theory and certain concepts in life philosophy.
