A scientific journal about topical issues of culture and art, as well as about the world cultural heritage, which are considered from the standpoint of cultural studies and art history in a wide methodological, geographical and time range. 

The original structure of the periodical allows both theoretical and applied research to systematically highlight the history and theory of culture and art, the complex processes of their transformation, to reveal the wealth of traditions and innovations, accumulated information and communications, to present various cultures and arts in their historically determined variability, diversity and interaction — with each other, with the environment (natural, economic, socio-psychological), with creators, carriers and consumers. The magazine covers issues of cultural policy, the processes of managing culture as an industry and as a business sphere.

The magazine is addressed to culturologists, art historians, as well as philosophers and a wide range of readers.
