Red clover varieties resistance to the stress factors of acid thatch-podzolic soil

Abstract:
The research was held in 2014 - 2017 on the experimental field of the Falyon plant-breeding station (Falyonki village, Kirov region). The research subject is the recognized and appreciable varieties of red clover. The nursery-garden for ecological variety testing was founded in 2014 on strongly acid thatch-mesopodzol soil (pH 3.92, the content of mobile aluminium ions - 27.48mg per 100 g of soil). The purpose of the research is to evaluate the varieties of red clover according to their economic features on a natural acid field; to detect the varieties resistant to stress factors of acid soil. Red clover varieties have been tested on the base of the first, second and third year grass in terms of double-cutting regime. The registration field plot is 5 square meters, fourfold tier. Registration, evaluation and observation are based on the methodology of the National Research Institution of Forage Crops (2002). The varieties of red clover, resistant to soil stress factors, have been selected. The late-ripening varieties: Vityaz, Kirovskij 159, Falyonskij 1. The middle-late varieties: Orpheus, P-1/09 and Tryphon. The early-ripening varieties: Kudesnik, P-15 and Green, which are notable for frost-resistance (94.0...98.7%) and ability to produce 16.1...20.5 tons of dry basis and 1.91...2..57 tons of crude protein per hectare in sum for three years without agnonomical amelioration.

Differential diagnostic signs of anaplasmosis in animals

Abstract:
The article studies differential diagnostic signs of anaplasmosis in animals. Currently, in the context of ensuring the stabilization of livestock farming, an important task is to reduce mortality and maintain the high level of animal reproduction. One of the factors causing loss of highly productive farm animals and reducing their reproductive ability is anaplasmosis. Favourable weather and climate conditions and breach or nonobservance of instructions requesting to carry out scheduled veterinary activities lead to wide distribution of the disease which damages the economic industry. Identification of anaplasm on the early stages of the disease is often difficult due to the peculiar form of the pathogen, necessitating the conduct of the most sensitive serological diagnostic methods. The decrease of economic and breeding value leads to compulsory slaughter and culling thus increasing the general economic losses of farms caused by anaplasmosis.The article presents the data about the distribution and differential diagnostic characters of anaplasmosis in animals, based on the analytical review of scientific sources and literature. The author establishes the widespread infestation of farm animals with Anaplasma agents. Chronicity and parasitosis are referred to as the main features of the course of the disease. The prevalence varies from 1.54% to 46.9% regardless of the habitat and the conditions of animal management which indicates the permanent presence of Anaplasma in tongue worms determining the high rates of circulation of the disease agents in farms. The decisive factor in anaplasmosis diagnosis is the positive result of microscopic examination of Romanovsky-Giemsa stained blood smears. Serological methods are essential for Anaplasma species identification. At the same time, one of the most significant tests is the immunofluorescence test.

Abstract:
The research subject is the search for new effective means and methods necessary for treatment and prevention of malignant breast tumors in small domestic animals. The development of breast tumors in cats and dogs is one of the most serious problems of modern veterinary medicine and veterinary oncology. Recent statistical data convincingly proves the increase in the incidence in carnivorous animals, so it is necessary to develop and implement new effective methods of diagnosis and treatment of malignant neoplasms. Modern methods of veterinary therapy have a direct impact on the tumor tissue, they are one of the most progressive methods of treating cancer. One of these new methods is photodynamic therapy, which is used mainly for the treatment of malignant tumors. The essence of the method is that under the influence of light of a certain wavelength, oxygen reacts with photosensitizers and as a result, tumor cells die and are replaced by connective tissue.PDT is an innovative method for the treatment of malignant tumors, which includes the use of photosensitizing substances and laser irradiation of cancer-affected tissues. This therapy has the great potential in treating breast tumors in carnivores. As an independent method, it can be used to treat malignant tumors especially in the presence of contraindications to other methods of treatment.

Abstract:
The quality of water is an essential part element of the quality of life. The research subject is the conditions and factors of the bottled water market formation in Primorsky krai. The urgency of the problem of bottled water production increases along with the rise in anthropogenic influence on the natural environment. The poor quality of tap water in the krai is determined to a large extent by the extremely worn-out state of water supply and water disposal systems. Under such circumstances it is important to form the culture of water consumption by the population based on the conscious choice and the structure of bottled water consumption. Therefore, the authors give special attention to the study of the level of awareness of the population about the quality and the impact of the consumed water on health. The research is based on the analysis of the online surveying of the population of Primorsky krai. The questionnaires were based on the Google platform. Most respondents have noted the deterioration of the ecological situation in the region in recent years. The results of the survey show that the deterioration of the ecological situation as a result of contamination of water bodies is very significant for the respondents. The research has proved low awareness of the population about the quality of the consumed water and its impact on health. The authors conclude about the necessity to raise the responsibility of producers and suppliers of bottled water for the quality of water. The authors bear out the necessity to implement the programme aimed at the construction of spring-wells and aesthetic improvement of surrounding areas.

This article is a review of the monograph: Arctic food security: problems of legal regulation / A. A. Kondrashov, S. A. Trofimova, I. B. Trofimova, B. N. Trofimov, L. G. Hocko, M. D. Dmitriev. - Krasnoyarsk, 2018. - 178 p. (ISBN № 978-5-94617-432-9). The monograph discussing the topical problem of Arctic food security was prepared by the group of authors in 2018. In the reviewer’s opinion, this is the first Russian holistic scientific research of the urgent legal problems of ensuring food security in the strategically important region of Russia. The authors use the range of scientific research methods including analysis, synthesis, comparison, classification, the formal logical and comparative-legal methods. The reviewer claims that the monograph fully meets the requirements of the current Russian legislation imposed on scientific works of such level, and is significant in both theoretical and practical aspects. The study can also be used for teaching in tertiary and higher education institutions of the country, particularly, for teaching in bachelor and master courses and specialist programmes on law faculties.
