personality characteristic. The authors bring forward
arguments proving that as a set of personality traits,

Limitation of Karen Horney’s

// Psychology and Psychotechnics.
2010. ¹ 11.
P. 28-38.
URL: https://en.nbpublish.com/library_read_article.php?id=57834
Abstract:
All Karen Horney’s theoretical developments are
based on the concepts of the unconscious and conflicting
nature of relations between society and a personality.
Neo-Freudians already tried to explain the social order
of people’s lives on the ground of the basic ideas of her
philosophy. The article shows that Horney’s representation
of Freud’s ideas were not always adequate and
unprejudiced. Her conclusions about self-analysis seem
rather controversial. According to the author, she had
serious difficulties in her clinical practice, too.

incest.
// Psychology and Psychotechnics.

URL: https://en.nbpublish.com/library_read_article.php?id=57835
Abstract:
In a mythological Ancient Egyptian picture of the
world described by Heliopolis cosmogony incest relations
between gods were quite natural. Having come out of the
primordial waters of Nu creator Atum gave birth to twins
representing the elements of the world: God of Air named
Shu and Goddess Telfnut. In their turn, the twins gave
birth to the God of Earth, Geb, and the sky goddess Nut.
Their children, Osiris, Seth, Isis and Nephthys, became
the main heroes of events described by Ancient Egyptian
mythology. According to the author, from the point of view
of psychology these myths reveal unconscious projections
in a structure of taboo gende relations between relatives, in the first place, Isis, the mother, and Hathor, the son.

The cultural concept of ‘scenario’ is viewed from
a psychological point of view. From this point of view it
fixates identities of participants. The study is focused on
scenarios of socialization of children of post-soviet emigrants
to the USA. Identity, in its turn, defines perception
and valuation of events and people around. The identity
crisis is caused by unavoidable collision of scenarios
typical for American and Russian societies. The author
suggests an original technique ‘Family Pattern” for comparison
of culturally predetermined family patterns.
