Abstract:
The article presents the results of a theoretical analysis of significant sociological, economic, psychological and related concepts of consumer society and consumer behavior. It is shown that the evolution of these concepts has a pronounced division into stages corresponding to the historical trends of the emergence and development of consumer society as a socio-economic phenomenon. Organically interconnected with the formation of consumer society was the formation of typed consumer behavior practices, which today is characterized by a complex structure, and its specific forms depend on a significant number of factors of the most diverse nature. These forms need to be comprehensively studied in order to use the acquired knowledge in the activities of both commercial enterprises and public administration. Consumption within the framework of this stage was considered most often as a derivative of class or estate, and its most prominent representatives were K.Marx (consumption as belonging to a class), M.Weber, T.Geiger, T.Veblen (theory of prestigious consumption), G.Simmel (theory of fashion), V. Sombart (theory of luxury). Further studies of consumer behavior began to be conducted mainly within the framework of economic theory, behavioral economics and marketing at the beginning of the XX century. The Marxist idea of "commodity fetishism" was continued in the writings of J.Baudrillard (criticism of consumer society), and the concept of M. Weber – in the so-called "class factions" of P. Bourdieu, and the ideas and J.Baudrillard and P. Bourdieu (habitus as an "acquired system of generative schemes") are quite popular today in sociological, socio-cultural and socio-philosophical concepts of human behavior in general and consumer behavior in particular. The "new" theory of consumption was proposed by G. Becker, K. Lancaster and J.Stigler, and M. Friedman and J.Dusenberry formulated the concepts of permanent income and sustainable consumer practices, respectively, to explain "advanced consumption".

Abstract:
The article deals with the topical issue of the quality of life of the rural population on the example of the Kulundinsky district of the Altai Territory. The methodology of quality of life research is based on structural functionalism and symbolic interactionism. The study of the quality of life was carried out by both qualitative and quantitative methods, and the components of the quality of life themselves were based on both objective and subjective levels. Methods such as a questionnaire survey of the population, an expert survey in the form of an in-depth interview, a focus group, and document analysis were used in the work. This article presents the results of a sociological study in the period from 2022 to 2023, which allows you to track the small dynamics of the quality of life of the rural population, to detect real changes associated with objective and subjective parameters. The novelty of the study lies in a comprehensive assessment of the dynamics of the quality of life of the rural population of a particular municipality, which allows us to study the issues of the quality of life of the population at a deep level, both at the empirical level and at the level of theoretical generalizations. The results of the sociological research showed that a number of objective components of the quality of life have noticeably increased compared to the previous year, as for the subjective component, we can also state some improvement, since the population feels real care about itself in the person of the district administration, village councils and the government of the region. Special attention should be paid to the need to extrapolate the methodology of this sociological study to other areas of the Altai Territory, which allows the relevant competent authority to track point-defined problems and promptly resolve them.

Social management: impact or interaction?
// Sociodynamics.

DOI: 10.25136/2409-7144.2023.8.44130 EDN: YJAVQW URL: https://en.nbpublish.com/library_read_article.php?id=44130
Abstract:
The subject of this paper is the system of social management, in relation to which the author attempts to identify basic strategies for combining different types of links (vertical and horizontal) and relations (impact and interaction) of this system in the context of the growing demand of society for participation in social management. The theoretical and methodological basis for the study of this subject is the concept of E. Mayo and his followers about the social orientation of management and the system-modeling approach. The specificity of the social system is that the effectiveness of each of the identified strategies should be evaluated within the framework of regional conditions in which it is formed. Based on the understanding of social management as a system, the elements of this system, types of links and relations within it are described. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that it describes for the first time the identified strategies of combining these links and relations: horizontal-interacting, vertical-interacting and horizontal-impacting. The results can be used for planning strategies of interaction with different regional systems of social governance of different levels. The article concludes that social governance as a concept has prospects for development, since its basic task is to satisfy the socium's request for joint regulation of social processes.
