Abstract:
The article provides an analysis of the questionnaire of students of the Faculty of Vocational Training of the Omsk Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia who have completed training in the discipline "Fire training". The survey was conducted on the issues of determining motivation to study the discipline of fire training and the quality of its assimilation. The authors conducted a survey among students of departmental educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, during which their inherent expectations from training and learning outcomes were determined. The sample consisted of 78 students. Based on the results obtained, one of the main tasks of educational organizations will be solved – training specialists for independent practical activity. It was revealed that the majority of students have mastered the training program and have formed the necessary competencies in their official activities. The answers to the questionnaire questions provided the authors with empirical material for their research. The described pedagogical technology for the formation of competencies related to the use of firearms with the help of situational tasks made it possible to achieve the goal of their formation in future specialists. The stated pedagogical technologies for determining motivation and the level of development of competencies in the study of the discipline "fire training" will allow us to achieve the goal of our work, which is to increase the level of productivity through interdisciplinary and interdepartmental integration in the learning process.

Abstract:
This study's objective is the interaction of employees of internal affairs bodies with mass media. The subject of the study is the legal basis for the interaction of internal affairs officers with the media, the requirements, and the procedure for preparing for such interaction. The purpose of the study is to identify the legitimate grounds for the use of photo and video devices to capture the activities of police officers, as well as the procedure for training police officers to interact with the media. The study uses theoretical research methods (interdisciplinary analysis of literature and normative legal documents, systematization, comparison, and generalization). In this article, the authors reviewed the regulatory documents explaining the rights to capture photos and videos of police officers’ professional activities. The practical significance of this study lies in the legal justification of the legality of the use of photo and video tools in the activities of police officers made by the authors based on the analyzed normative legal acts, studied federal laws and departmental orders communicative requirements for police communication with the media, as well as the experience presented by the authors on the formation of the readiness of future police officers to interact with the mass media at the stage of training in Russia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs’ educational organizations. So, according to the authors, for the successful preparation of future police officers for interaction with the media, it is necessary to create special pedagogical conditions, including conducting communication training, creating a cadet press center, studying a special academic discipline, as well as the constant involvement of students in interaction with the media.

Abstract:
The subject of the study is a contextual approach to training in the professional activities of police officers. The object of the study is the process of training police officers to perform operational and service tasks based on a contextual approach. The author considers such aspects of the topic as the implementation of a contextual approach to the training of police officers in preparation for the performance of operational duties. In the course of the research, the author pays special attention to the development of individual elements of a contextual approach to training, taking into account the specifics of performing operational and service tasks by police officers in special conditions, as well as highlighting the existing problems of implementing this approach in educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The main conclusions of the study are the justification of the effectiveness of the contextual approach to the training of police officers undergoing advanced training in educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The author's special contribution to the study is to identify the features of the implementation of the contextual approach in the training of police officers, as well as making recommendations to improve the effectiveness of this approach. The novelty of the topic under consideration lies in clarifying the features of the contextual approach, as well as the development of its individual elements, taking into account the specifics of the performance of operational and service tasks by police officers in special conditions. As a way to implement the contextual approach, three main forms of activity are considered that are effectively used during the training of police officers, these are academic-type educational activities, quasi-professional and educational-professional activities.

Investigator's Intuition: Conditions of Formation and the Possibility of Implementation of Artificial Intelligence

Abstract:
The paper examines the issues of intuition in investigative practice. Relying on the positions of prominent forensic scientists, the importance of this heuristic mechanism for overcoming deadlocks caused not only by a shortage of information, but also by its overabundance is substantiated. The author suggests mechanisms for the development of intuition, the main of which is called the expansion of erudition, the accumulation of a large number of background knowledge. The second part of the article discusses the problems of artificial intelligence. Firstly, the topic of its potential to replace a person is covered. Secondly, the position existing in science is refuted, according to which the work of artificial neural networks is characterized as intuitive. Based on the analysis of practical examples and the synthesis of various scientific positions, the author formulated the following conclusions: 1. The intuitive decisions based on the probabilistic assumption assist the investigator in choosing specific investigative actions or tactics for their conduct. 2. Intuition is best developed among investigators with average work experience and broad erudition. 3. Intuition can and should be developed, mainly by expanding erudition, accumulating background experience. 4. The work of artificial neural networks cannot be called completely intuitive, since they act according to a given algorithm, even if generating a solution that is not accessible to human perception, whereas intuition is a creative process that goes beyond standard models. 5. To date, there is only a weak artificial intelligence, which is able to cover only situations of an overabundance of information, but not its deficit, although the latter very often require an appeal to intuition. 6. Intuition is a competitive advantage of humans over artificial intelligence, allowing our species to think more broadly, more versatile.

Abstract:
The research subject is the set of legal documents regulating physical training in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. The author has found out that these documents contain different descriptions of the technique of the submission hold “Freedom of movement restriction by thrust hammerlock”. The research is aimed at forming a universal and more precise description of this submission hold. The authors apply general scientific methods of cognition (analysis and synthesis) and specific methods - comparative and systems approach. Since the Physical training organization regulations for the internal affairs bodies contain the description of the submission hold which does not reflect all the requirements to the technique, it can cause injuries and can lead to ambiguous interpreting. The scientific novelty of the research consists in the author’s formulation of the description of the hold and this universal description can help optimize the process of physical training in educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The authors describe the experience in practical implementation of these legal acts during arrangement and conduction of military training (weapons training) as well as problems that may arise and relevant solutions. In their research the authors have applied theoretical research methods (axiomatic method) and general-logical methods (analysis, generalisation, induction, analogy, systems approach). The main results of the research is the recommendations made by the authors about how to change current legal acts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia that regulate the procedure of weapons training in internal affairs agencies that would allow to raise efficiency of such exercises and consequently the competence of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia officials in the sphere of weapons firing.

Abstract:
The subject of the research is the problems of training law enforcement officers to use weapons. Each law enforcement officer needs not only to be able to shoot in any conditions but also to immediately make the right decisions about whether to use weapons or not in accordance with the law. It is possible to practice typical situations in which it may be necessary to use weapons only if special situational targets are used (police or tactical targets). However, the targets that are used nowadays have certain drawbacks: high cost, limited scope of application, etc. The methodological basis of the research involved general philosophical methods such as observation or modeling as well as the method of comparative analysis and systems approach. The main conclusion of the research is that training should model all kinds of real situations. This is why the authors offer to use innovative character situational targets that are standard targets with role elements (a knife, gun, grenade, etc.) and consequently more universal and less expensive.
