DOI: 10.7256/2454-0749.2019.5.30552 URL: https://en.nbpublish.com/library_read_article.php?id=30552
Abstract:
The article is devoted to structural grammatical models of Ukranian phraseological units with the heart component. Despite a great number of researches on phraseology, modelling of phraseological units is still an understudied issue while many researchers believe it to be a new and promising area of researches devoted to the phraseological corpus of the language. The aim of the research is to find phraseological units with the heart component in novels written by Ukranian writers and determine dominating types of their structural grammatical models. The methodological and theoretical frameworks include researches of L. Avskentiev, V. Arkhangelsky, A. Babkin, V. Vinogradov, V. Zhukov, B. Larin, V. Mokienko, V. Telia, and N. Shansky. The results of the analysis carried out by the author demonstrate that structural grammatical models of Ukranian phraseological units with the heart component have a very varied structure. Regardless of their structure, phraseological units correlate to certain parts of speech depending on their meaning and syntactical function. Phraseological models can be divided into two groups: 1) equal to word combinations (6 models); and 2) equal to sentences (2 models). The main conclusions of the research demonstrate a great variety of phraseological models and specifics and singularity of Ukranian phraseological units. The authors also underline that it is impossible to carry out modern analysis of phraseology without taking into account modelability of a language structure.

// Philology: scientific researches.

DOI: 10.7256/2454-0749.2019.5.31025 URL: https://en.nbpublish.com/library_read_article.php?id=31025
Abstract:
In her article Zvereva presents the results of her analysis of modern euphemisms and their linguistic ecological evaluation. The subject of the research is the influence of euphemisms on the quality of linguistic environment, i.e. ecology of speech, ecology of language and language consciousness of speakers. The researcher focuses on the analysis of euphemism as a linguistic, cultural, social and psychological product that may point out important issues and processes in the language environment. In addition, the researcher also focuses on facts of dynamic development and extension of euphemistic synonymic row. To analyze the research data, Zvereva has applied the random sampling technique, the contextual analysis method, and description analytical method as the leading method. The novelty of the research is caused by the new approach to analysing eumphemisms (their linguo-ecological evaluation) and the fact that it has been an important issue during the period since 2014 till 2019. The results of the analysis demonstrate that economics, labor relations, sport and other human-related topics are subject to euphemization most of all. The topic 'human age' has over 20 different euphemisms describing the same denotation. This fact demonstrates that there is a conflict in the language consciousness of Russian speakers which is a negative linguo-ecological phenomenon. However, there is also a positive tendency towards active qualitative speech creativity. The conclusions made by the author of the article will be useful for linguo-culturological, socio-linguistic and psycholinguistic research.

Development of Avant-Garde in Persian Poetry of the XXth Century: Surrealism of Hushang Irani
// Philology: scientific researches.

DOI: 10.7256/2454-0749.2019.5.30861 URL: https://en.nbpublish.com/library_read_article.php?id=30861
Abstract:
The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the Persian avant-garde poetry of the 40-50s of the XXth century. The subject of the research is the most marginal branch of new Persian poetry attributed to Hushang Irani whose works had not been on the list of official Persian literature records for a long tiem and still remain an understudied topic in Irani studies. Based on the analysis of the journal خروس جنگی (Heeler), the authors analyze the phenomenon of a literary journal as an important tool for communicating the ideas of modernism and avant-garde in Iran studies. The authors pay special attention to the second period in the history of the aforesaid journal that was related to the activity of an innovative poet Hushang Irani who wrote and published the manifest of Persian surrealism. Analyzing the manifest, the authors describe the difference between the 'new art' and 'old art'. In order to 'rehabilitate' the author and define his true role in the history of new Iranian poetry, the researchers carry out an integral analysis of Iranian experimental poetry (they analyze goals, grounds, peculiarities of the method, poetical principles and techniques) that imply particular language 'deviations' (at the level of graphics, phonetics, vocabulary, syntaxis, semantics, style, etc.) according to the classification of J. Leech. In addition, the authors make an attempt to analyze Irani's poetry, from the one side, in terms of Russian formalism and, from the other side, in terms of European surrealism. Based on the research of T. Tavusi - Irani the authors conclude that there is a certain similarity between literary manifests of Irani and A. Breton and that Irani's poetry is close to the theoretical and practical ideas of surrealism.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the image of common people (ordinary men, vulgar men) in the creative writing of Gilbert Keith Chesterton based on the analysis of his novels. Opposing to the romantic and realistic literary traditions, Gilbert Keith Chesterton described ordinary people in a positive light. By doing so, he continued the English literary line of Charles Dickens. Gilbert Keith Chesterton opposed ordinary people who kept to traditional values and sophisticate people who lost their belief in life and human. He sees common people as those who can save the world from the catastrophe. Gilbert Keith Chesterton idealizes the moral sense of ordinary people but do not ignore their drawbacks at the same time. This is one of the paradoxes that constitutes the main principle of his creative writing. In this article Porinets carries out a comparative analysis of the imagem of ordinary people in Chesterton's novels and novels written by other writers following romanticism, realism and modernism. The researcher describes significant differences in interpretation of the image of orinary people by different literary movements. The novelty of the research is caused by the fact that the author gives a detailed analysis of the image of common people in Gilbert Keith Chesterton's novels taking into account his creativity in general and showing his peculiarities and role for the European literature of the XIXth - XXth centuries. DOI: 10.7256/2454-0749.2019.5.30977 URL: https://en.nbpublish.com/library_read_article.php?id=30977
Abstract:
The subject of the research is the composition and narrative structure of Vladimir Nabokov's novel The Gift. Based on the analysis of the novel's structure and texts incorporated there, the author of the article suggests that we should view the novel not as a circle or analogous structures (Mobius band or spirals) but as a palimpsest, i.e. many times overwritten text. The author proves her idea by analyzing peculiarities of the artistic method used by Nabokov in his novel The Gift and declared by Fedor when the main idea of the future novel is developed, as well as particular judgements expressed by Nabokov through the mouths of his heroes. In the process of her research Kletskaya has used the hermeneutical method and biographical method as well as elements of the cultural-historical and comparative methods. The scientific novelty of the research is caused by the fact that for the first time in the academic literature Kletskaya develops a new way of interpretation of The Gift taking into account important statements about narrative peculiarities of The Gift, Nabokov's texts and novels incorporated in The Gift and created during the same period of time as well as direct philosophical and aesthetical statements that can be found in The Gift.

The Rebellion of Ivan Karamazov as an Image of Rhetorical Argumentation
// Philology: scientific researches.

DOI: 10.7256/2454-0749.2019.5.30795 URL: https://en.nbpublish.com/library_read_article.php?id=30795
Abstract:
The subject of this research is important rhetorical features of the extract from Fedor Dostoevsky's 'The Borthers Karamazov'. This extract is known as the 'rebellion' of Ivan Karamazov and represents one the novel's central monologues in the form of argumentation. Tkachenko successively analyzes the structure of thesis, specifics of argumentation and purpose of the character's speech. The results of the analysis demonstrate the mechanisms of influence on other characters and the readers of the novel. Analysis of components of argumentation also shows that Ivan's speech has a rhetorical power and the speech itself is of manipulation nature: the hero uses numerous tricks that ensure credibility of his ideas while argumentation lacks a logical structure. In his research Tkachenko uses methods of rhetoric poetics that imply analysis of a literary text as the text that has an influence on the reader as well as study of artistic potential of traditional rhetoric forms found in the text. The scientific novelty of the research is caused by the fact that Ivan's speech is important for studies of a polyphonic novel and analysis of the phenomenon of independency of voices and ideas created by Fedor Dostoevsky.

Abstract:
The object of the research is the phraseological units in German and Crimean Tatar languages as the means of expression of emotions. In her article Memetova analyzes problems that arise in the process of objectivation of emotions in the German and Crimean Tatar languages. Based on her analysis, she defines a corpus of phraseological units that verbalize different emotions, positive, negative and ambivalent. Memetova makes a comparative analysis of emotive phraseological units in Crimean Tatar and German languages and describes linguistic and non-linguistic means of expression of emotions. Memetova also describes different classifications of emotions used both by psychologists and linguists. In the course of her research the author has used the method of continuous sampling that allows to define emotive phraseological units in compared languages. The novelty of the research is caused by the fact that the author compares emotive phraseological units in German and Crimean Tatar for the first time in the academic literature. The researcher discovers a wide range of emotions expressed with the help of phraseological units in both languages. The domination position, however, is held by negative emotions such as anger, annoyance, irritation, fear and grief.

DOI: 10.7256/2454-0749.2019.5.31058 URL: https://en.nbpublish.com/library_read_article.php?id=31058
Abstract:
The matter under research is functioning of the text connector 'however' used with conjunctions in different contexts (mostly literary and publicistic texts). The rationale of the research is caused by the fact that linguistic studies should also cover language units that perform the connecting functions in a text. The importance of the research is caused by the need to continue to analyze texts and what makes texts cohesive and integral as well as the use of the means of text cohesion and integrity. One of these units if the word 'however'. In the course of the research the author has used introspective-inductive, descriptive and comparative methods that have allowed the author to discover regular patterns of functioning of the word 'however' in different texts and then to summarize and systematize the results. The novelty of the research is caused by the fact that for the first time in the academic literature the author discovers peculiraities of the combination of 'however' with conjunections 'but, and, although' (mostly in literary and publicistic texts). When analyzing contexts, the author also makes an attempt to interpret the communication intent of a speaker in each particular cause and the influence of the word 'however' on this intent.
