Trunov, D. G. Therapeutic Interpretation of a Dream: From the Symbol to the Metaphor

Abstract: The article discusses the difference between symbolic and metaphoric approaches to dream interpretations. Symbolic approach is connected with psychoanalytical traditions in the first place and talks about certain meanings behind every hero and image of a dream. Metaphoric approach frees dreams from any interpretations which still allows to use dreams for analyzing a dreamer’s real life
