Abstract: This article is devoted to the theory and development trends of the system of monitoring of law and law-enforcement practice. Under modern conditions of modernization of state institutions and appearance of new social institutions in the Russian Federation monitoring is one of the elements of reformation of the legislative system. Creation of the system of monitoring and specification of its development trends are a good aid in planning of law making activity and its coordination.
