Abstract: The subject of the research is the peculiarities of the functioning of the epithet in Circassian historical-heroic epic. The main goal of this study is to examine the phenomenon of the epithet: to analyze the affixational method of epithetization in Circassian historical-heroic epic. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to address the following tasks: - to analyze the degree of scientific development of the topic and to record the current state of its study; - to thoroughly examine the peculiarities of the application of this trope in the material of Circassian historical-heroic epic; - to identify the main types of affixational epithets found in the monuments of Circassian historical-heroic narrative; - to determine the place and significance of the epithet among other means of artistic imagery, to indicate its influence on the formation of the conceptual appearance of works of folk literature; - to characterize the content, specificity of use, and frequency of occurrence of this trope. To solve the above tasks, the following research methods were used: - analysis of literature on the subject; - method of complete sampling; - semantic-stylistic analysis of the epithet; - description of the peculiarities of the functioning of affixational epithets in historical-heroic epic. The relevance of the study is due to the need for a comprehensive study of the aesthetic features of the language of Circassian folklore tradition using modern scientific methods. Currently, there are monographs dedicated to the holistic description of the artistic language system or specific mechanisms of constructing prose and poetic texts. Existing works are predominantly focused on the linguistic aspect (e.g., studies by M.A. and Z.Yu. Kumakhov) or consider the epithet only within the framework of specific genre directions. The novelty of this article lies in the detailed analysis of one of the most significant artistic techniques – the epithet – taking into account the wide genre palette of oral folk creativity. This approach allows for the identification of regularities in the functioning and transformation of expressiveness in the context of the thematic and structural diversity of Circassian folklore.

Abstract: This article presents a systematic historical-discursive analysis of the evolution of the ideological frames of "threat" and "resource" in the discourse of Chinese state media on immigration throughout four key historical periods (19th-21st centuries). The subject of the study is the evolution of ideological frames in the discourse of Chinese state media (press) on immigration over four historical periods: the late imperial era (Qing dynasty), republican period (Republic of China, 1912–1949), early socialist period (PRC from 1949–1980), and the modern era of reform and globalization (late 20th – early 21st centuries). The analysis examines not only explicit narratives but also deep linguistic structures, rhetorical strategies, and contextual conditions that shape the image of the immigrant and the migration process. A historical-discursive analysis of the dynamics of two fundamental and often contrasting frames used by Chinese media in covering immigration: the "threat" frame (emphasizing risks to security, cultural homogeneity, and social stability) and the "resource" frame (highlighting economic, demographic, or innovative benefits). The scientific novelty of the study lies in the following. First, for the first time within a single study, a systematic comparison of media discourse on immigration is conducted over such a prolonged historical period (19th-21st centuries), allowing for the identification of not only breaks but also continuities in ideological patterns. Second, the work contributes to frame theory by applying it to the long-term ideological process in a non-Western media context, demonstrating how frames adapt to changes in political regimes. Third, the novelty lies not in simply stating the replacement of one frame with another, but in revealing their complex coexistence, mutual supplementation, and contextual switching depending on the target audience and current state priorities. Thus, the article offers a comprehensive model for analyzing how, through the lens of media discourse, the image of the "other" immigrant was constructed and transformed in Chinese public consciousness, reflecting the deep logic of the relationships between the state, the nation, and the global world at different stages of Chinese history.

Abstract: The article is dedicated to analyzing how national cultural values influence the choice of linguocultural strategies in the representation of corporate social responsibility (CSR) by international companies. The object of the study is the texts of corporate social responsibility from large corporations operating in various national cultural contexts. The subject of the research consists of linguocultural markers and communicative strategies used by companies when representing CSR programs. The CSR discourses from reports and public communications of companies in the USA, Europe, and Russia are examined, comparing the linguistic markers, rhetorical moves, and ways of masking contradictions between declared values and actual practices. Special attention is paid to how companies construct the image of "responsible" business through vocabulary, metaphors, grammatical constructions, and topic selection, aligning it with the expectations of local culture and the regulatory environment. The methodological foundation includes critical discourse analysis, linguocultural analysis, and a comparative approach based on G. Hofstede's cultural dimensions theory and F. Trompenaars' concept of communication context. The empirical base consists of over 250 fragments of CSR texts from 15 international companies during the period from 2020 to 2023. Elements of quantitative content analysis are applied, taking into account the frequency of key markers. The novelty of the research lies in the fact that it integrates the results of four leading national studies on CSR discourse into a single linguocultural framework for the first time, allowing for a systematic description of the relationship between cultural parameters and linguistic strategies. A detailed typology of masking mechanisms (reaccentuation, technization, ideologization) is proposed, demonstrating how the same social issue is “rewritten” differently in American, European, and Russian contexts. It is shown that the choice of linguistic means in CSR texts functions as a financial signal for investors and affects the assessment of corporate sustainability. The conducted research established that culturally conditioned speech strategies in CSR communication both reflect and shape perceptions of business social responsibility, serving as a tool for reputation management and smoothing structural contradictions. At the same time, hybrid and transitional cases are identified that do not fit into a rigid triad of models, underscoring the need to consider both national cultural profiles and industry specifics and the dynamics of crisis contexts when interpreting CSR discourse.

Abstract: The article is dedicated to the quantitative analysis of lexemes representing two selected linguoconcepts, using the works of V. V. Nabokov's novel "Camera Obscura" and its English adaptation "Laughter in the Dark" as material. The aim of the study is to identify the frequency characteristics of key linguoconcepts and to determine the degree of their verbalization in the two language versions of the work. The subject of the research includes lexical units that verbalize the key linguoconcepts selected for analysis in both language versions of the work, as well as their frequency, structural, and comparative characteristics. In addition, the research subject includes the comparison of the author's ways of linguoconceptualization in the two language systems, which allows for identifying which elements of the linguoconceptosphere are retained, transformed, or lost when transitioning from the Russian to the English version of the text. In this study, linguistic statistical methods, comparative analysis of the use of lexical units, and the software tool WordStat for counting their frequency were employed. As a result, the most frequent linguistic units participating in the representation of the studied linguoconcepts were identified and presented, allowing for the establishment of differences in the degree of their verbalization in the Russian and English texts. The novelty of the work lies in its bilingual approach to quantitative analysis, as unlike most existing studies that are limited to material from one language or mainly focus on translation difficulties, this work offers a comprehensive statistical and comparative analysis of the two versions of "Camera Obscura" created by V. V. Nabokov himself. The conclusions drawn confirm the affiliation of the analyzed linguoconcepts to the number of key concepts, as well as demonstrate differences in the nature of their verbalization in the two versions of the work, reflecting the features of V. V. Nabokov's imagery system as a bilingual writer. The obtained data can be utilized in studies on conceptual analysis, linguistic statistics, translation studies, as well as in examining authors' strategies for representing linguoconcepts in bilingual and multilingual texts.

Abstract: The subject of the research is the patterns of formation of secondary qualitative meanings of relative nominalized adjectives based on metaphorical transfer. Metaphor is the main and most deeply studied, although not the only mechanism for the development of the quality of adjectives. The author elaborates on the connections between the semantics of relative adjectives and the possibilities of their semantic derivation. The peculiarities of metaphorization of relative adjectives are determined by their word-formation productivity. Generally, relative adjectives are derived, with the exception of a group of adjectival words with a borrowed base. As syntactic derivatives that replicate the meaning of their motivator, relative nominalized adjectives inherit the semantics of the motivating noun and express the general meaning of 'one that relates to what is named by the motivating base.' The semantics of the motivating name predetermines the possibilities of “qualifying” the adjective, a point noted by V. V. Vinogradov. Methods of semantic, word-formation, and contextual analysis of words are employed. Data from explanatory dictionaries, works of fiction, and modern media are used; materials from the National Corpus of the Russian Language are also utilized. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the proposal of a description of the formation of qualitative metaphorical meaning through a derivational-semantic model that includes four lexical-semantic components. Metaphorical meaning possesses dual derivational-semantic connections: with the motivating noun and with the original relative meaning of the adjective itself. The relationship between the direct relative and the secondary qualitative meanings of the adjective is examined by the author in the aspect of reflected polysemy. Thus, the correlation of meanings of the adjective òóìàííûé (‘one that relates to fog’ – ‘unclear’) is the same as that of the motivating noun òóìàí (‘a cluster of small droplets’ – ‘unclearness, uncertainty’). If the motivating name lacks a metaphorical meaning, the derivational-semantic model of qualification has a gap. For example, there exists an adjectival metaphor ïîâåðõíîñòíûé (‘insubstantial, unfounded’) without a metaphor with its motivator ïîâåðõíîñòü. The metaphor of nominalized adjectives arises based on representations of the real properties of the standard object (pistachio jacket, aquamarine eyes); based on connotations (cave worldview). The results of the research complement the understanding of semantic derivation in the adjectival sphere and can be used in lexicographic practice.

Abstract: The subject of the study is songs recorded from representatives of Cossack surnames in settlements that previously formed the Gorky fortified line of the Siberian Cossack army. The source of the material was E.Ya. Arkin's collections "The Cossack sings a song. Songs of the Cossack villages of the Omsk region" (1999) and "Songs of the Siberian Cossacks of the Gorky Line. Late recording period" (2024). The purpose of this work is to examine the features of the variation of Cossack song texts in the context of the migratory culture of the Middle Irtysh region. Comparative material recorded primarily in the regions of Siberia, as well as folklore collections containing song texts recorded in the places of the Cossacks' original residence, was used for variational analysis. The Cossack song tradition of the Omsk region is represented by a variety of genres, including wedding songs, non-ritual lyrics, and songs of literary origin. Its local specificity is formed on a common Slavic basis as a result of the interaction between various regions. In its modern form, the traditional Cossack song is a complex synthesis of texts, both in terms of genre and authenticity, as well as intergenerational continuity. The Omsk texts reveal common features of Cossack folklore songs: historical and military themes, and local references. The novelty of the study lies in analyzing late recordings of the local song tradition and examining its specifics in the context of changing historical conditions of the migrant culture. This allowed us to identify the main trends in text variation: first, the adaptation of songs to new living conditions by introducing local place names or details into the text; second, the simplification and reduction of texts to match the changing conditions of Cossack life; and third, the strengthening of the lyrical element by reducing narrative and descriptive episodes.

Abstract: The subject of this study is the speech portrait of a modern Chinese teacher presented in the format of a video blog. The analysis focuses on the lexical, syntactic, and pragmatic features of the blogger’s speech, as well as on identifying the strategies through which the teacher constructs his or her self-image in the digital space. The research examines the interaction between the speaker’s personal and professional characteristics as reflected in their speech behavior, including the use of expressive and colloquial means, rhetorical questions, modal particles, and elements of everyday and youth discourse. The teacher’s speech practices are considered not only as a reflection of an individual communication style but also as a significant phenomenon in the context of the transformation of the teaching profession under the influence of mass culture, the Internet environment, and the digitalization of education. The methodological basis of the research combines the inductive–deductive approach and the descriptive method, with component analysis serving as the principal analytical tool. The main findings indicate that the speech portrait of the teacher-blogger is characterized by dynamism, emotional richness, audience engagement, and self-image formation. The use of short syntactic constructions, colloquial and youth vocabulary, slang expressions, and expressive means contributes to creating a sense of sincerity and closeness. The inclusion of everyday details and the open expression of personal experiences help break down the distance between the teacher and the audience, shaping the image of the educator not only as a knowledge bearer but also as a person who shares the values and realities of their viewers. Thus, the study confirms that the digital environment transforms pedagogical discourse, turning it into an instrument for building trust-based relationships and fostering humanistically oriented educational communication.

Abstract: The subject of the research is the application of computational methods in the comparative analysis of media narratives that shape representations of armed conflicts in the global media landscape. The object of the study consists of news materials from the international media outlets CNN and Al Jazeera related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The author analyzes aspects of the topic such as the operationalization of theoretical concepts in media analysis, the comparison of narrative strategies across different media, and the possibilities of scalable analysis of media discourse. Special attention is given to how media not only reflect events but also construct meaning models of conflict through framing, tonality, and attribution of agency. The article examines differences in thematic priorities, emotional coloring, and narrative structure in the materials from the two media systems that represent different political and institutional contexts. It discusses the limitation of traditional qualitative analysis methods when working with large text corpora and the necessity of integrating computational tools into media research. Thus, the study aims to identify persistent narrative differences and to form a reproducible analytical framework for comparative studies of media discourse on conflicts. The methodology of the research is based on a hybrid approach that combines natural language processing methods, thematic modeling, and interpretative analysis using large language models. The main findings of the conducted research reveal systematic differences in the narrative and discursive strategies of CNN and Al Jazeera when covering the same conflict. It has been established that Al Jazeera's materials are characterized by a consistently negative tonal background and an emphasis on the humanitarian dimension of the conflict, while CNN creates a more fragmented narrative alternating between negative and positive plots related to diplomatic events. The novelty of the research lies in the development and testing of a meta-model for comparative media analysis, which combines quantitative computational methods with qualitative interpretation of media texts. A significant contribution of the author is the operationalization of classic theories of media studies through specific NLP metrics and procedures, which enhances the reproducibility and transparency of the analysis. It has been shown that the integration of large language models expands the possibilities for semantic comparison of narratives without losing analytical depth. The conclusion is made regarding the continued influence of institutional factors in media systems on the formation of media reality even in the context of digitalization and automation of analysis.

Abstract: The subject of the study is the features that distinguish the metatext of radio broadcasts from written metatext. Metatext is understood as the text embedded within the main text, through which the speaker helps the listener navigate and understand the main text. The aim of the work is to identify the distinguishing characteristics of the metatext of modern radio broadcasts and to explain the reasons for the emergence of these features. This article analyzes the metatext of contemporary radio broadcasts based on the texts of the program "Zahar's Keys" on Radio Sputnik. The author of the program is the well-known writer and journalist, public figure, military officer, and lieutenant colonel Zahar Prilepin. The program "Zahar's Keys" on Radio Sputnik is a series of author's broadcasts. The title "Zahar's Keys" is based on the metaphor of a key as a means of providing "the opportunity for understanding something." The methods used in this work include general scientific methods of observation and comparison, as well as linguistic methods of semantic, pragmatic, and contextual analysis. The novelty of the study lies in its explanation of the features of the metatext of radio broadcasts as oral conversational text, which includes elements of improvisation. The conclusions are as follows: 1) the indicators of the beginning and end of the radio broadcast blend with greeting and farewell formulae; the framing metatext includes the program's title and the names of its hosts; 2) the indicator of a break between parts of the program includes a call for listeners to continue listening after the break; 3) the prospective metatext includes exchanges of words between one participant and another; 4) the retrospective metatext provided by one of the hosts refers to remarks made by other hosts of the program and may include evaluations of these remarks or contain the pronoun "we," uniting all hosts; 5) the host of the program may interrupt colleagues and make insertions into their text; 6) the emphasis of the listener's attention on the most significant parts of the text is expressed through impersonal sentences, statements in the first person, and imperative sentences in the second person; 7) due to the oral improvisational nature of the text, the stated number of parts is not realized. Thus, the metatext of radio broadcasts significantly differs from written metatext. This is due to two factors: 1) the form of the radio broadcast as a conversation; 2) the oral nature of the text.

Abstract: The subject of this study is the specificity of the ironic mode in A.P. Chekhov's play "The Seagull." The artistic mechanisms through which the playwright realizes irony that goes beyond traditional comic effect are analyzed. The central focus is on the system of characters, which is built not on antagonistic opposition but on a hidden community conditioned by mutual misunderstanding and each character's immersion in their subjective world. Irony is revealed through the contrast between static characters (Masha, Medvedenko, Polina Andreyevna) and dynamic characters (Treplev, Nina), whose painful epistemological insight is contrasted with the unchanging worldviews of the former. Special emphasis is placed on the transformation of key motifs (for example, "fishing" and "writing" in Trigorin), demonstrating not only the internal degradation of the character but also the irony of the "composition of life," which subjugates the will of individuals. Thus, the object of study is the complex two-level structure of Chekhov's irony, manifested at the levels of characters, their relationships, and recurring symbolic images, which defines the unique tragicomic pathos of the play. The methodological foundation of the research is a systemic analysis of the text, allowing the play to be viewed as a cohesive structure. Within this framework, motif analysis of recurring images is applied to reveal their transformation. A comparative method is used to analyze pairs of characters and identify the principle of hidden parallelism. The historical and literary context is drawn upon to verify conclusions. The synthesis of methods ensures the validity of the analysis. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the systematic examination of irony in "The Seagull" as a two-level phenomenon. Unlike approaches that emphasize only its comic or tragic dimensions, it is argued here that Chekhov's irony functions simultaneously as a critique of static existence and as a revelation of the tragic nature of knowledge, which, even in insight, does not grant harmony to the characters. For the first time, the evolution of the motif of "writing" in Trigorin is interpreted in detail – from "observer" to "participant" in the drama, revealing his degradation and subjugation to the "composition of life." The main conclusion is that it is precisely the multilayered irony, exposing the gap between ideal and reality, as well as among the insights of the characters themselves, that constitutes the core of Chekhov's innovative dramaturgy in "The Seagull," which finds development in "The Cherry Orchard." Thus, the play emerges as a philosophical drama, where irony becomes the key to understanding existential laws.

Abstract: In the Orthodox Church at Easter, the Prologue of the Gospel of John is read in different languages. In the Russian Orthodox Church ten languages are used, including Old Greek, German, English, Church Slavonic and Russian. The observed variations in readings are thematically associated with the grammatical principles of language structure. The present work analyzes the difference in the use of personal and possessive pronouns, substitutes for personal and possessive pronouns. As well as masculine and neuter adjective and verb endings in the Russian translation. The results contribute to a better understanding of the theological meaning of the texts. The studies of Bible translations are important because the language of the Holy Scriptures is something special, often it sounds like a hymn. The Prologue of John's Gospel is regarded as a hymn of the apostolic church characterized by inner harmony on multiple levels. There are three types of translations: those based on the original language, those where the target language is in the foreground, or those for specific readers and target groups. There are particular difficulties in translating the Greek word "κατέλαβεν", which has multiple meanings - “to understand” and “to master”. The translation of the Easter Gospel into German and English reflects the complex semantics of this word, while the translation of this word into Russian and Church Slavonic cannot give the full meaning of the original text. Various translation possibilities are being discussed in order to better match the sound and meaning of the original text. The article further proposes that these issues be presented before the Synodal Biblical and Theological Commission for further consideration.

Abstract: The subject of this study is the image of the spirit mistress of the earth in folklore. The aim of the work is to identify the dynamics of the transformation of a key sacred image and its reflection in folklore. Objectives: to examine the initial concept of the image; to identify the main models of image change; to analyze the functions of the image in the epic narrative. To solve these problems, a comprehensive analysis, comparative-typological, and structural methods were used to characterize the features of the image. The novelty of the work lies in the author's tracing the dynamics of the transformation of the key mythological image of the spirit mistress of the earth—from the initial zoomorphic form (elk/deer) through the zooanthropomorphic stage (an old woman mistress with bestial features) to the final anthropomorphic appearance (a maiden patroness). For the first time, it is demonstrated in detail how the zoomorphic code "elk/deer" becomes the core of the image of the mistress of the earth. A three-stage analysis allows us to understand the dynamics of Evenki mythological thinking. The image of the spirit mistress of the earth appears as a dynamic mythological system, where archaic zoomorphic representations reflected in myths are gradually enriched with anthropomorphic features in the epic narrative. This reflects the evolution of the Evenki worldview: from "merging" with nature to "dialogue" through the personification of its forces. The evolution of the Evenki spirit mistress of the earth image occurs through layers, with animistic images giving way to zoomorphic ones, ultimately taking on a human form. This transition reflects the development of religious practices (from animism to shamanism) and the transformation of social structures (from matriarchal to patriarchal, while retaining feminine archetypes). The study demonstrates how the collective memory of the people preserves and reinterprets archaic images within the epic tradition.

Abstract: The subject of the study is the genre specificity of the radio play. The research material consists of radio programs broadcast in China from 1920 to 2025. The choice of this period is explained by the need to examine the development of the Chinese radio play within a long historical perspective, in connection with socio-political, cultural, and technological changes, in order to differentiate its key genre characteristics. The typological criterion for differentiation is the functional purpose of radio’s expressive means. The aim of the study is to determine the place of the radio play within the system of radio broadcasting genres. In domestic theory, this position has not been defined. In China, the radio play is regarded as a genre of radio dramaturgy, which is specifically associated with journalism. As a result of the study, concepts necessary for further investigation of the auditory component of Russian media systems are clarified, in particular with regard to programs broadcast in the contemporary media environment (which often represent convergent genres), as well as non-standard auditory internet content. Methodologically, the study is based on genre-typological and historical-analytical approaches: radio plays produced between 1920 and 2025 are analyzed through the functionality of expressive means and their role in shaping the sound image. The novelty of the research lies in the fact that the development of the radio play in China is examined within the context of the logic of genre differentiation in radio broadcasting. It is shown that the distribution of semantic load between words, music, and noises changes depending on genre objectives. Within the group of documentary-artistic genres, music and noises are capable of becoming independent carriers of meaning. Against this background, a contradiction is identified that arises when describing materials in which the artistic basis dominates over the documentary one but does not exclude it: such programs cannot be classified as either radio compositions or documentary dramas (both genres belong to the group of documentary-artistic genres of radio journalism). The study concludes that there is a need to distinguish the radio play as an independent genre unit within the theory of genres of domestic radio journalism.

Abstract: The relevance of the study lies in the scientific significance of the study of the multimodal nature of the artistic literary text, in which the problems of human existence find a verbal-visual, verbal-sound embodiment, as well as in the significance of the study of the transfer of a verbal-visual image with a moral and philosophical plan of content from one national historical context to another. The article examines the dialogue of Russian poets-readers with the "Venetian novel" by E. T. A. Hoffmann "Doge and Dogaressa" in the aspect of semantic confrontation between personality and superpersonal power (from the power of mighty fate, the visible hypostasis of which becomes the sea, to divine providence), while the relationship in the poetics of the visual (landscape, ekphrasis, color-light solutions, subject detail) and abstract-conceptual (freedom, power, dream, soul, fate, providence) finds an individual drawing in Hoffmann's reception by Russian poets of the late XIX – early XX centuries, including through the unfinished poem by A.S. Pushkin "The night is quiet, in a heavenly field... In the process of analysis, a comprehensive literary approach is used, combining historical-cultural, comparative-typological, comparative, mythopoetic methods. It is shown that the mystical plan of Hoffmann's novel, dating back to the religious and philosophical concepts of spirituality and the power of nature, turns out to be dominant in the value-semantic structure of Doge and Dogaress. Visualization techniques give artistic elaboration to matrimonial and metaphysical motives. Functionally significant in this aspect "sea" microplots, symbols are highlighted. Attention is paid to the emblematic detail ("wounded dove"), emphasizing the angelic principle in the image of the heroine. The "picturesque" scenes presented (in particular, the night sea voyage) turned out to be in demand by domestic poets. The novelty of the study is due to the fact that the poetics of the studied works revealed the systemic presence of visual as a picture visualization in the context of the conflict between superpersonal forces and heroes, which manifested itself in the diverse development of the transmission of the mystical principle associated with the "human" and foreign essence of the Adriatic; with an expression of a foreign point of view. The private plot of the Venetian text of culture is first covered as a cultural myth in demand in Russian literature, containing ambivalently the motives of the power of beauty and "beauty" of power, loyalty and betrayal, man and nature, immanent and transcendental, superpersonal forces and freedom of personality.

Abstract: The article is dedicated to the study of the linguopragmatic features of the functioning of precedent phenomena in military advertising discourse. The object of the research is military advertising discourse as a special communicative sphere characterized by a high degree of influencing potential and specific mechanisms for manipulating the collective memory of the target audience, while the subject is the linguopragmatic characteristics of precedent phenomena in military advertising texts. The author examines in detail aspects such as the typology of precedent phenomena (universal, national, socially-precedent), their verbalization mechanisms, and ways of actualization in advertising discourse, as well as the semiotic features of the functioning of precedent units in the context of military identity formation. Special attention is given to analyzing the pragmatic functions of appeals to biblical texts, national cultural symbols, and corporate formulas of the military society in the process of constructing the image of a serviceman and motivating military service. The research is based on the texts of recruiting videos of the U.S. Army series "Be All You Can Be" (2024–2025) and the advertising campaign of special forces "Generation" (2025). The analysis was carried out using intertextual analysis, contextual analysis, and functional-semantic description of precedent units. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that it is the first attempt at a comprehensive linguopragmatic analysis of precedent phenomena in military advertising discourse considering their typological characteristics, functional specificity, and modes of verbalization. The results of the study showed that the appeal to precedent phenomena serves as a key mechanism of linguopragmatic influence in military advertising. The main pragmatic functions of precedent phenomena were identified: the sacralization of military labor through appeals to biblical texts, the construction of historical continuity through references to key events in national history, the legitimation of military service through links to documents of statehood, and the formation of an elite image of the military society through socially-precedent phenomena. It was established that precedent phenomena in military advertising predominantly function in the form of implicit allusions, aimed at the cultural competence of the recipient and activating the collective memory of the national-linguistic and professional communities.

Abstract: The author thoroughly examines the concept, principles of compilation, and scientific value of the "Dictionary of Phytoonyms of the Avar Language." This is due to the necessity for systematic fixation and in-depth study of an important layer of specialized vocabulary, which directly reflects the traditional economic structure, cognitive experience, and holistic worldview of the Avar people. The presented work defines and analyzes the main sources for the formation of the dictionary, including new field materials, recordings of living spoken language, and existing lexicographic works. Furthermore, the article details key structural-motivational models characteristic of Avar phytoonyms, such as compounding and suffixation, and proposes a clear thematic classification of them. The potential of the dictionary lies in its multifaceted application: in modern lexicographic practice, in the educational process when studying lexicology and linguocultural studies, as well as serving as a fundamental basis for comparative and historical studies of the languages of the Dagestan family. The methods used in this work include: techniques of semantic-analytical representation of vocabulary, methods of comparative analysis, and anthropologically oriented descriptions of words and their classifications; techniques of selection of vocabulary and introspection as a way to determine the ontological nature of the phenomena denoted; the comparative method is utilized to identify similarities and differences between specific thematic groups. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the following: this is the first specialized work, the first attempt to create a separate lexicographic work entirely devoted to the systematic organization and comprehensive description of the phytonymic vocabulary of the Avar language, which will fill a significant gap in its terminological documentation; it reflects not only the meanings but also motivational signs of nomination ("appearance," "property," "place of growth" – literal translation), revealing the connection between language and cognitive and cultural models of the ethnic group; the complex of sources and dialectal coverage – the dictionary is formed on the basis of a triad of sources: data from existing dictionaries, new field materials, and recordings of living spoken language; it serves as a foundation for interdisciplinary research not only for linguistics (comparative linguistics, semasiology) but also for ethnobotany, cultural anthropology, and folkloristics, demonstrating the integrative scientific potential of the publication.

Abstract: The subject of the research is the Arabic-language edition of "One Thousand and One Nights" in four volumes (Beirut, 2009), the Tatar translation of this collection translated by Fatih Khalidi in six volumes (Kazan, 1897–1899), the text of the work "One Thousand and One Nights" in Old Ottoman Turkish, translated by Ahmed Nazif (Istanbul, 1851, six volumes; 1870, four volumes), and the Russian translation by M.A. Salye in eight volumes (Moscow, 1996). Additionally, to confirm the hypothesis about the typicality of the identified transformations, we examined examples from other works, such as "Kalila and Dimna," "Tuti-name," "Forty Vazir Kitabı," and "Abu Galisin." The study aims to identify specific techniques of adaptation (e.g., replacement of realities, modification of comparisons, transformation of descriptions) and determine their role in conveying the cultural code and artistic meaning of the original in a new linguistic and cultural environment. The theoretical foundation of the research consists of the works of researchers that reveal the lexical-semantic and morphological aspects of the Tatar language; the theory of translation, in particular, the classification of semantic correspondences that is used for analyzing lexical transformations; and the principles of linguoculturology and the theory of intercultural communication. The methodological basis is a detailed comparison of the originals and Tatar translations to identify specific transformations. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the comprehensive analysis of linguocultural transformations in the translation of Eastern texts (kissa) into the Tatar language. For the first time, specific translation strategies of Tatar enlighteners have been identified, including semantic adaptations, modification of images, the use of Ottoman-Turkish versions as the primary source rather than Arabic originals, and the conscious shortening or expansion of texts to enhance didacticism and cultural closeness. As a result of the study, it was established that translators did not merely translate texts mechanically but creatively reinterpreted them, forming new literary traditions and enriching the Tatar language. These transformations not only enriched Tatar literature with new plots and the language with new stylistic techniques and lexical units but also contributed to the formation of new language traditions. The direction and nature of these changes were conditioned by both the objective needs and capabilities of the language during the corresponding period, as well as the specifics of the world perception and cultural expectations of the Tatar audience.

Abstract: This article examines the key challenges encountered in translating Ivan Bunin's short story "Madrid" into Chinese. The research focuses on the Russian-Chinese literary translation of "The Madrid Restaurant" by Chinese translator Chen Fu, while the subject matter focuses on the linguastylistic transformations in the Chinese version of the story, affecting the title, speech characteristics, sound organization, and the rendering of subjective modality. Specific examples demonstrate how a translation strategy aimed at simplifying and "flattening" the text leads to the negation of Bunin's carefully constructed system of semantic and stylistic nuances. In conclusion, the author states that while there is no such thing as a perfect literary translation, constant and deep immersion in the Russian language and the writer's poetics always paves the way for improving the translation of Bunin's story. The study is based on a comparative linguastylistic analysis of the Russian original and Chinese translation, as well as an interpretive method. The scientific novelty of this study lies in the fact that the author, for the first time, conducts a comparative analysis between Bunin's story "Madrid" and its Chinese translation, "Restaurant Madrid," by Chen Fu. Against the backdrop of active Russian-Chinese cultural exchange, scholars in both countries have addressed the issue of translating Russian literature into Chinese and Chinese literature into Russian, but until now, a publication specifically addressing Bunin's story "Madrid" and its Chinese translation, "Restaurant Madrid," has been lacking. This article fills this gap. Since this article focuses on a single story by a Russian writer, the author's conclusions are also concrete: although there is no such thing as a perfect literary translation, especially when it comes to translating such subtle artists of the word as Ivan Bunin, nevertheless, constant and deep immersion in the Russian language and the poetics of the Russian writer always opens the way to improving the translation of the story "Madrid." The Chinese audience is waiting for a new version of the translation of this story.

Abstract: The subject of the research is the interpretative field of the moral concept HONOR, represented in Avar and Russian proverbs. The object of the research consists of paremiological units that verbalize the moral concept of HONOR in Avar and Russian languages. The main goal of this research is to identify universal and ethnospecific features of the concept of HONOR in the studied languages. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to address the following tasks: – analyze the encyclopedic zone of the studied concept in the compared languages; – identify the utilitarian zone of the concept of HONOR; – highlight the regulative zone of this concept; – determine the evaluative zone of the studied concept. The relevance of the research is determined by the need for a comprehensive study of the interpretative field of the studied concept in Avar and Russian languages using modern scientific methods. To solve the above tasks, the following research methods were used: complete sampling method, definitional method, comparative method; literature analysis on the discussed problem. The scientific novelty of the article is defined by the fact that no similar comparative study of the concept of HONOR in Avar and Russian languages based on proverbs has been conducted before. Universal features in the studied linguistic cultures include cognitive traits: "observing honor from youth," "respect for elders," "harm from excessive honesty," "refusal to manifest honor to one's detriment." Ethnospesific features in Avar linguistic culture: the concepts of "honor" and "heroism," "honor" and "soul" are interconnected; in Russian linguistic culture – honesty and gratitude are considered equal, while honor and glory are distinguished. In Russian linguistic culture, uninvited guests are not honored, and wealth is not equated with honor. In Avar linguistic culture, one cannot sell honor for worldly goods and food, while in Russian culture, sustenance is valued more than honor. In the Avar naivety worldview, it is better to lose one's head than one's honor.

Abstract: The purpose of this work is to conduct a comparative study of the structural and semantic slang features in German and English. Slang used by young people in speech reflects changes taking place in the world around them. Youth slang contains a unique vocabulary with specific properties, a variety of phrases. It is interesting to consider the common features and differences in the ways of replenishment and the meaning of slang units in different languages – German and English. The subject of the study is the structural and semantic features of slang in German and English. The research material consisted of 100 German slang units taken from the texts of German–language media – Deutsche Welle, Der Spiegel, Stuttgart Nachrichten and 100 English slang units from the texts of English-language media - The Guardian, Daily Mail, Times Live. The work uses the continuous sampling method, comparative linguistic analysis of slang units, quantitative data processing methods. The scientific novelty of the study consists in a multidimensional description of German- and English-speaking units of youth slang, isolated from modern sources for the period from 2018 to 2023, and in their comprehensive comparison. The results of the study show that youth slang, in general, reflects the general trends in language development. Indeed, word-formation models are the most productive way to replenish slang in both languages. At the same time, the most productive way to form German slang is to combine various word-formation models and borrowings, primarily from English. The semantic analysis data shows slight differences in the compared languages, which allows us to conclude that German- and English-speaking youth are interested in the same spheres of life. This comparative study provides an opportunity to study youth slang in sufficient detail, its formation trends and usage in German and English.

Abstract: The article examines the potential of automated lexico-semantic analysis of literary texts and their translations using the NLTK library in the Python programming language. Programming languages significantly accelerate linguistic research and enable systematic, structured organization of collected data. The study focuses on the 19th-century American author William Gilmore Simms’ story “Grayling: or, ‘Murder Will Out’,” and its Russian translation by M.L. Pavlycheva. Particular attention is paid to identifying differences in lexical structure, word and bigram frequency, part-of-speech distribution, and lexical diversity. The research aims to detect translation transformations that affect the semantic and stylistic organization of the text and to evaluate the capabilities of automated analysis in comparing the original and its translation. The study employs Natural Language Processing (NLP) methods using the NLTK library within the Python environment, including text normalization, part-of-speech tagging, frequency analysis, bigram modeling, and calculation of the lexical diversity index. The findings demonstrate that automated lexico-semantic analysis enables objective identification of key differences between the original and its translation: the Russian version exhibits higher lexical diversity, attributable to the inflectional nature of the language and the active use of translation transformations; the frequency of cohesive elements increases; and thematically marked bigrams are replaced by more neutral constructions. Furthermore, significant limitations of standard NLP tools in processing Russian-language texts are revealed, underscoring the need to adapt computational methods to the specific features of the Russian language. The study confirms the need for an integrated approach in the analysis of the original and translation of a literary text, combining computational methods and linguistic interpretation. Future research directions include the application of advanced morphological analyzers, expansion of the text corpus, and integration of machine learning techniques for in-depth comparative analysis of original literary texts and their translations.

Abstract: This article analyzes Russian media discourse to identify its role in shaping cultural stereotypes in the mass audience's perception. The empirical basis of the study consisted of cultural news items from the period May–October 2025, published on four popular Russian-language online resources: Lenta.ru, Gazeta.ru, Super.ru, and Ura.ru. To compare discursive strategies, headlines from a publication positioning itself as "quality press" ("RBC") from the same period were additionally analyzed. The presented research includes an analysis of news headlines from the perspective of their syntactic and lexical content, an analysis of article topics, as well as techniques for exerting emotional influence on the recipient, promoting an uncritical perception of the transmitted content. The methodological basis of the study was the random sampling method for selecting examples for analysis and the content analysis method, aimed at identifying ways of representing information to form a system of values of a pragmatic nature in the public consciousness. The analysis revealed that the structuring of information in media texts follows this logical scheme: specific selection of information and methods of its transmission, formation of a specific stable image, and, subsequently, a specific stereotype of information perception within the desired cultural-ideological context. As a result of the study, it is concluded that the media deliberately influence people's consciousness, providing a worldview which focuses primarily on pragmatic goals and commercial interests. It is stated that this kind of information cannot contribute to the formation of cultural identity, and media discourse in this case does not serve as a space for cultural interaction between the media and readers. Instead, it turns into a tool for manipulating public consciousness, used in accordance with the laws of market economy primarily to monetize audience attention rather than to educate it.

Abstract: The article is a comparative analysis of the perception of the Peasant Reform of 1861 in leading Russian (St. Petersburg Vedomosti, Moskovskie Vedomosti) and British (The Times, The Guardian, Daily Telegraph) newspapers. The Russian press, especially the official press, shaped the narrative of national unity, the sacredness of the act of liberation and loyalty to the monarch, highlighting in detail the practical difficulties of implementing the reform, but within the framework of its unconditional historical necessity. The British press went from cautious optimism (1857–1861) to deep skepticism and criticism (1865–1870), emphasizing the half-hearted nature of the reform, the continued economic dependence of the peasantry, authoritarian methods of its implementation, and predicting long-term systemic contradictions. The key difference was in perspective: The Russian publications focused on the current problems of implementation within the accepted paradigm, while the British assessed the reform through the prism of liberal capitalism and parliamentarism, focusing on its systemic consequences for politics, society and the military potential of the empire. The scientific novelty of the research lies in identifying the historical continuity of narrative models: a comparative analysis shows how the mechanisms of legitimization of reform in the official press of the 19th century and its criticism in the British media form the prototypes of modern strategies for covering socio-political transformations. This historical and media analysis provides a key to understanding the stable discursive framework in which Russia interprets its own reforms and the outside world interprets its policies, which is especially important in the context of the current information confrontation.

The author examines in detail the mechanisms of combining ideological control and professional training in the context of digital modernization and the strengthening of the country's international influence. The methodological basis includes an analysis of relevant acts and curricula, as well as the comparison of case studies. Using Peking University as an example, it is shown how a combination of professional competencies, global thinking, and ideological loyalty forms a coherent profile of the modern Chinese journalist. The theoretical and methodological foundation is based on the parametric-indicator approach of I.N. Blokhin (2023), which allows for the consideration of professional ideology as a multilayered and multidimensional system. My novelty lies in the systematic introduction of I.N. Blokhin's parametric-indicator approach into the analysis of the professional ideology of journalism education in China, constructing a three-level framework – values and norms, institutional mechanisms, technological components – and proposing clear, practically applicable evaluation criteria. My contribution consists of the implementation and adaptation of I.N. Blokhin's methodology, specifically his "parametric-indicator" approach, to the study of professional ideology in Chinese journalism education, which required contextual adaptation and the development of appropriate criteria. In conclusion, from 2001 to 2024, journalism education in the People's Republic of China has developed into a multilayered political-technological model, where the ideological framework, professional training, and digital competencies are integrated. The contemporary Marxist-Leninist value core is institutionalized through required courses, standard textbooks, and support mechanisms; in practice, a unified professional profile is formed (competencies, global competence, ideological identity). State initiatives and media convergence platforms establish stable regulatory frameworks; digital transformation strengthens the connection between competencies and ideological requirements and external communication, ultimately defining a clear vector of development and parameters of professional identity.

Abstract: This article is dedicated to exploring the sentiment of texts from regional online media, using the example of Sakha news portals, along with comparing the levels of detail in a comprehensive model of linguistic sentiment analysis with automated sentiment analysis tools. The aim of the study is to compare the paradigms of the categories from these approaches and establish their compatibility and incompatibility for the most optimal application in the practical tasks of media monitoring. A comparison is made between the approaches of linguistic sentiment analysis and sentiment analysis, from which conclusions are drawn about the compatibility and complementarity of these approaches. The relevance of the work is determined by the growing use of automated sentiment analysis in media monitoring, their insufficient integration in working with specific regional discourse, and the necessity of bridging the computational-linguistic and traditional philological approaches to studying this category. Methods used in the research include comparative analysis, analysis by immediate constituents, discourse analysis, content analysis, full sampling, and thematic sampling. The scientific novelty of the research is defined by the fact that it is the first systematic comparative analysis of the levels of detail in automated sentiment analysis using a unified methodological framework, which allowed for the identification of patterns in the functioning of various types of sentiment in media discourse. As a result of the study, it has been established that, although automated systems successfully handle the tasks of primary classification of tonal vocabulary and determining the overall polarity of texts, they demonstrate systemic limitations. The practical significance of the work lies in testing the applicability and necessity of a multi-level model of sentiment analysis, gaps in automated analysis, and the possibility of their joint use for labor optimization. The obtained model will enable effective monitoring of the sentiments in the regional media landscape and, if necessary, detail it based on the thematic focus of the material.

Abstract: This article continues the research of the authors who focus on the contextual poetics of Mari poetry in the 20th and 21st centuries as a subject of literary studies. It examines the anthroponymy of a national poet, which is considered by the authors of the article as a way of presenting contextual content (a way of creating a special artistic space in a literary text). The purpose of the article is to identify the features of using anthroponyms as a technique of contextual poetics in modern Mari poetry, using the literary and creative experience of the well-known poet Gennady Oyar (Sabantsev) as an example. This is the first time that such a goal has been stated and implemented in regional and national literary studies. The specific material of the study is the poetic texts of the Mari poet Gennady Oyar, included in his collection "Shumsavysh" (Echoes of the Heart) (2008), which contain anthroponyms in their artistic structure. The research methods include historical-genetic, comparative-typological, and structural-semantic analysis; the work also uses textual, intertextual, and contextual analysis of literary works. The study characterizes the main types of anthroponyms in the lyrics of Gennady Oyar, taking into account their structure and sources; it identifies the main functions of anthroponyms that are relevant in the context of contextual poetics; it reveals the features of the author's cultural outlook (contextual competence) of the Mari poet; it shows the specifics of the author's reflection on anthroponymic intertexts; and it raises the question of the role of anthroponyms in the author's ethno-identification. The authors of the article conclude that different types of anthroponyms in Gennady Oyar's poetry collection "Echoes of the Heart," while performing meaning-forming and symbolic, socio-historical and ethno-cultural, intertextual, emotional-evaluative, and authorial, psychological, and identification functions, contribute to the text's rich contextual content, making them a valuable tool for contextual poetics. The anthroponyms used by the poet are a way to reconstruct the contextual content of a literary text, to understand the author's intention, semantics, and poetics of his works.

Abstract: The subject of the research is the dynamics of ethnic self-consciousness of Shen Congwen. The object of the study includes his "Xiangxi complex" and literary creativity. The author examines in detail the process of formation and stages of transformation of this identity. The aim of this research is to trace the evolution of the writer's ethnic self-consciousness through the analysis of the "Xiangxi complex" and to reveal the interaction of personal experience with historical context. To achieve this aim, the following tasks were identified: - to investigate the reasons for the formation of Shen Congwen's "Xiangxi complex"; - to determine the main stages of the transformation of his national identity; - to analyze the specific influence of external factors on the transition of his ethnic self-consciousness to a general Chinese national identity. Special attention is given to the influence of the cultural and historical context on the formation of Shen Congwen's identity. The methodological basis consists of a comprehensive approach that combines biographical and cultural-historical analysis within the framework of identity construction theory. A comparative method is also applied to compare the stylistics and content of his works from different periods. The scientific novelty of the research lies, firstly, in the sequential analysis of the "Xiangxi complex" not as a static phenomenon, but as a dynamic meaningful system. Secondly, the study offers a new perspective for analysis – the evolution of the writer's ethnic identity as an active process of construction, determined by personal and historical circumstances. The main conclusions of the conducted research are that Shen Congwen's ethnic self-consciousness has undergone a complex non-linear evolution. The outcome of this journey was the formation of a synthetic identity of an "ethnic marginal." Such an identity transcends the specific frameworks of local belonging. The practical significance of the work lies in providing a new analytical perspective for interpreting national narratives in Chinese literature. The findings are valuable for research on the processes of constructing national identity in modern China and in comparative cross-cultural studies.

Abstract: The question of the representation of archetypes in literature has been repeatedly addressed by researchers. However, in Yakut literature, the problem of reproducing archetypal images and their creative interpretation by writers has not been sufficiently explored. This article examines the archetypal pair of old man and old woman, which has taken on a distinctive embodiment in the story "So the Larch Has Aged with Me" by Yakut prose writer Vasily Yakovlev. The author addresses universal human questions and presents a national perspective on the world, rooted in a traditional way of life. The aim of the work is to describe the correlation between the images of the main characters, the old man and the old woman, in Vasily Yakovlev's story "So the Larch Has Aged with Me" with the archetypal pair "old man-old woman," and to identify aspects of their embodiment. The object of the study is the story "So the Larch Has Aged with Me," and the subject is the aspects of embodying the archetypal image of "old man and old woman" in the reception and creative interpretation by the author. In this study, we rely on the method of N.V. Chernyavskaya, and in terms of chronotopic aspects, we utilize the method of M.M. Bakhtin. Comparative analysis allows us to examine the aspects of embodiment of the archetypical characteristics inherent in the paired image created by the author. The research conducted has established that in the story, the author presents the couple of the old man and old woman as guardians of enduring values and traditions of the northern people. The scientific novelty of this study lies in the fact that the archetypal paired image of "old man and old woman" is explored for the first time in the story of Yakut prose writer Vasily Yakovlev from the second half of the 20th century. The depiction of the archetypal pair "old man-old woman" in Vasily Yakovlev's novel indicates the interconnection between Yakut literature and world literature. The use of universal archetypes points to the author's appeal to the primordial foundations of human experience, endowing it with universal significance and emphasizing life values. Such an approach to the study of literary works contributes to the investigation of the national and cultural features of the embodiment of universal themes.

Abstract: The subject of the research is the process of forming the myth of the Blitz in British prose from the 1940s to the early decades of the 21st century. The events of the London Blitz – the bombings of the capital from September 7, 1940, to May 10, 1941 – were already reflected in the novels and stories of writers in the forties. Together with texts of official propaganda, they became the foundation of the ideological construct formed during the Blitz, known as the "Myth of the Blitz." The aim of this study is to identify the main components of this myth at all stages of its functioning up to the present day. The object of the research includes the novels of P. Ackroyd, M. Moorcock, S. Waters, and works of mass literature from the 21st century. Since this work analyzes works from several historical stages of the Blitz theme and involves the studies of historians that provoke the transformation of the myth about it, historical-typological and comparative methods of research were used. The main conclusion of the conducted research is the assertion that to this day, the combination of semantic centers of the Myth of the Blitz remains the foundation for the interpretation of British national identity. The center of the construct is the idea of the greatest unity of the nation in history. The "nodes" of the myth were examined in the interpretation of Peter Ackroyd, who proposed their list in the chapter "Blitz" in his book "London: The Biography" (2000). It has been shown that over the following decades, the myth was questioned, especially regarding class equality. The theme of "refusers" (those who fundamentally did not take up arms), raised by S. Waters in the novel "The Night Watch," deserves special attention. Despite the documented evidence of historians and sociologists regarding the absence of national unity, the myth of the Blitz remains a cornerstone in the ideological content of contemporary mass literature. References to the Blitz are still frequent, typically in the genres of formulaic literature: spy, detective, romance, as well as family sagas. The novelty of the research lies in the fact that, for the first time in domestic literary studies, the entire context of British prose about the Blitz is considered from this perspective, including works created in the 2020s.

Abstract: The article explores the means of expressing epistemic modality in Russian scientific texts. The relevance of this study stems from the important role of epistemic evaluation of statements in academic discourse and the high interest of scholars in the problem of epistemic modalization of scientific texts. The aim of the study is to identify national and cultural characteristics of the use of epistemic markers in academic discourse. To achieve this goal, a comparative analysis of Russian research articles written by native Russian speakers and Chinese authors for whom Russian is a foreign language was conducted. Fifteen articles by Russian authors and 15 articles by Chinese authors, published in Russian scientific journals on linguistics, were selected for analysis. Particular attention is paid to identifying differences in the frequency and structural and semantic characteristics of epistemic indicators in the compared corpora of scientific publications. The study was conducted using quantitative and qualitative content analysis methods. The quantitative analysis of the empirical material was carried out using Voyant Tools. The scientific novelty of this study lies in the identification of the specific uses of epistemic modal devices in Russian by foreign authors compared to Russian authors. Differences in the functioning of epistemic modality indicators were identified, characterized by a lower frequency and less structural diversity of epistemic markers used by Chinese authors. These differences primarily concern the means of expressing problematic reliability, while no significant discrepancies were found in the functioning of categorical reliability indicators. In both corpora of empirical material, a quantitative predominance of means of marking problematic reliability over categorical reliability markers was established. A conclusion is drawn that these differences are related to the national and cultural specifics of scientific communication and that Chinese authors tend to use a lesser degree of subjective modality in scientific texts.

Abstract: The subject of the study is the linguocognitive mechanisms and strategies for implementing the category of persuasion in the space of contemporary automotive advertising discourse. The object of the study consists of multimodal (polycoded) texts – videos, internet banners, and advertising modules on automotive themes in Russian and English. The author examines various aspects of the topic in detail, such as the interaction between verbal and iconic (visual) codes in the process of creating a persuasive impact on the addressee. Special attention is paid to identifying national and cultural specifics: it analyzes how the core cultural values of Russia (collectivism, patriotism) and the USA (individualism, pragmatism) determine the choice of linguistic means and visual images. The article also explores the role of extralinguistic factors and pragmatic settings that influence the architecture of advertising messages in the context of digital communication. Automotive advertising is viewed as a distinct genre of institutional discourse, characterized by high semiotic density. The methodological framework of the study combines a descriptive method for inventorying linguistic means, discourse analysis for revealing socio-cultural context, semantic-stylistic analysis, as well as multimodal analysis (according to G. Kress and T. van Leeuwen) aimed at studying the synergy of verbal and non-verbal components of the text. The scientific novelty of the study lies in establishing a direct correlation between the type of multimodal interaction and the axiological dominants of linguoculture. It has been proven that persuasive strategies in the analyzed discourses are polar. In the Russian-language segment, the strategy of identification ("native," "familiar") predominates, implemented through appeals to concepts of collective memory and emotionally evaluative vocabulary; the visual array here serves as a semantic modifier, creating a cultural-symbolic context. In the English-language (American) discourse, the strategies of uniqueness and factuality prevail, relying on rational argumentation, linguistic play, and nominative style; the visual component primarily carries a denotative load, serving as proof of technical specifications. It is concluded that the effectiveness of advertising impact depends on the congruence of the codes used with the basic mental scenarios of the audience: "integration/overcoming" for the Russian model and "individual success/benefit" for the American one.

Abstract: The subject of the study is the connection between folklore and literature. In particular, the problem actualizes that folklore not only preserves elements of the historical experience of narratives but also serves as a source of cultural values which evolve with transformations in the artistic consciousness. Through the works of A. S. Pushkin and the Tunisian writer Mahmoud al-Messadi, an analysis is made of how these elements combine to reflect social themes and character archetypes relevant to different cultures. The study aims to prove that recourse to folk traditions goes beyond their mere literary adaptation and becomes a bridge between cultural differences in the same and different national societies, forming a pattern in divergent literary traditions and playing a role in developing authorial identity. The main methods that allow us to study the influence of folklore on literary works include textual, historical-cultural and comparative analyses. They have provided the novelty of assessing traditional and literary heritage through an expanded understanding of how folk motifs function in different cultural contexts, emphasizing their universal moral significance. This evaluation reveals factors such as oral tradition, linguistic realization, symbolism of images, mythologizing, cultural identity, syncretism of cultural traditions, and others. The conclusions made during the study on the influence of folklore on literary creativity give grounds for emphasizing several key points: 1) connection of folklore and literary genres and styles, 2) joining the world literature wealth, and 3) overcoming cultural and linguistic barriers, 4) continuity and evolution of folklore. The dynamic nature of folklore may indicate a strong interrelation between them and modern literature. The study of such interrelations is the prospect of further research.

Abstract: The author examines the phenomenon of linguistic interference at different levels of language from the perspective of Spanish and English. The aim of the research is to determine the similarities and differences in the manifestation of interference depending on the individual's native and second language. The author studies the classification of speech errors resulting from interference in terms of their frequency of occurrence. The article demonstrates existing research on the topic and conducts an analysis of the speech of English and Spanish speakers to identify patterns of interference depending on the speaker's native language. Using interviews with American singer Becky G and Colombian singer Karol G, the author analyzes instances of interference and concludes that there is a relationship between the interviewee's native language and the errors they make as a result of language contacts. The article provides examples of phonetic, grammatical, and lexical interference. The research involved methods of observation, comparison, as well as qualitative and quantitative analysis. The scientific novelty of the research lies in identifying specific patterns of interference based on the contacting languages. As a result of this research, conclusions have been drawn about the relationship between the frequency of speech errors due to the speaker's native language interference. The study proposes the necessity of considering the phenomenon of interference within the framework of a specific language pair. An answer has been obtained to the question of whether interference always manifests more significantly at the phonetic level of language. The author attempts to trace the relationship between the manifestation of interference and the specific language pair of the speaker. A comparative analysis of speech fragments from individuals with different language pairs has been conducted. A tendency for interference to occur depending on the speaker's native language in the context of English and Spanish has been identified.

Abstract: The subject of this study is the synonyms of the noun "illness" in the idiolect of F. M. Dostoevsky, compared with general usage, determined based on dictionaries and data from the National Corpus of the Russian Language. Of the large number of synonyms that existed in the Russian language of his time, the writer uses only five synonyms for the word illness, namely: nezdorov’ye (‘ill-being’), nedug (‘ailment’), nemoshch’ (‘infirmity’), nemoch’ (infirmity) and khvorost’ (‘sickness’). The aim of the study is to describe the specificity of the writer's idiolect, manifested both in the choice of words and in the distribution of their usage across different types of texts (fiction and epistolary). The type of text is significant for the writer's preferences: he uses some synonyms only in fiction (nemoshch’ – ‘infirmity’), nemoch’ – infirmity), while others are used primarily or exclusively in personal letters, referring to himself or his loved ones (nezdorov’ye – ‘ill-being’, khvorost’ – ‘sickness’). The study used general scientific and special methods of philological analysis: descriptive, quantitative, comparative, biographical; within the framework of the functional-semantic approach, lexical-semantic analysis with elements of component and conceptual analysis was used. The novelty of this work stems from the fact that, despite the significance of the theme of illness in F. M. Dostoevsky's fiction and life, the vocabulary of the corresponding semantic field has not yet been the subject of a dedicated linguistic study. The article identifies the specific features of the writer's idiolect within the vocabulary group under consideration. For example, F. M. Dostoevsky does not use the words zabolevaniye (‘disease’) and nedomoganiye (‘indisposition’), likely due to their literary nature. He prefers the less common khvorost’ (‘sickness’) to the colloquial khvor (‘sickness’). The most common word in the writer's idiolect (after the dominant illness) is nezdorov’ye (‘ill-being’), which is present primarily in his personal letters. It is typically used euphemistically in syntaxemes with the prepositions po, za, ot in the meaning of a reason (due to ill-being) and is accompanied by vocabulary indicating the failure to perform an action. The colloquial noun khvorost’ (‘sickness’) is used in a similar function and is present exclusively in the writer's personal letters. The words nedug (‘ailment’), nemoshch’ (‘infirmity’) and nemoch’ (infirmity) on the other hand, are found primarily in fiction. The usage of the words nedug (‘ailment’) and nemoshch’ (‘infirmity’) in the writer's idiolect differs significantly from dictionary definitions.

Abstract: The article is devoted to the issues of the formation and development of mutation semantic classes "Deprivation of functions," "Avoidance," and "Self-defense" of verbs with the prefix îò- in the history of the Russian language during the pre-national period. The object of the study is derivatives with the prefix îò-, which have the meanings of 'deprivation of functions,' 'avoidance,' and 'self-defense.' The subject of the research is the mechanisms of developing polyfunctional situations within the framework of verbal word formation mutation. The history of the emergence of primary (spatial) and secondary (modificational and mutational) meanings in prefixes is examined using the verb prefix îò- as an example. Special attention is given to the issues of the emergence of mutation semantic classes "Deprivation of functions," "Avoidance," and "Self-defense": their denotative structure is analyzed, based on which semantic subclasses are distinguished; characteristic features of the word formation mechanisms of these derivatives are studied. The connection of the analyzed mutation semantic classes with the prototypical meaning of separateness of the prefix îò- is revealed. The research is conducted within the framework of the cognitive approach. The analyzed lexemes are distributed across semantic classes that are part of a broader non-linear structure – a semantic network. The key methodological tool is the method of polyfunctional analysis by N. B. Lebedeva. The denotative structure of the verbs is studied, revealing the presence of several propositions in their semantics and characterizing the main participants of the situation. The novelty of the work lies in establishing a common origin for those meanings of the prefix îò- that are not considered related in the modern language. The focus is on the emergence and denotative structure of mutation semantic classes ("Deprivation of functions," "Avoidance," "Self-defense") and their connection with the original prototypical meaning of separateness. The role of word formation elements in the formation of these mutational meanings is considered. The initial meaning of the separateness of the prefix îò- is realized differently depending on the semantic class: as the separation of the Subject from a normal physiological state (in the class "Deprivation of functions") or as the separation of the Agent from the influence of the Causator (in the classes "Avoidance" and "Self-defense"). It is particularly emphasized that new meanings of the prefix are formed under the influence of three factors: the semantics of the verbal base, context, and the presence of animacy of the Subject.

Abstract: The article addresses the issues of verbalizing professional knowledge regarding the metaphorical origins of Spanish terms in the specialized language of architecture. It is established that the process of forming an architectural terminological system actively uses metaphorization, reflecting the features of professional thinking and facilitating more effective communication between specialists and between representatives of other scientific fields. The architectural metaphor, which serves as an effective cognitive mechanism for creating new concepts and an important component of the Spanish national linguistic worldview, is the subject of this study, the aim of which is to determine the specific nature of the relationship between everyday language and the specialized language of architecture. The awareness of the metaphor's ability to penetrate the essence of things and create a holistic picture by uniting heterogeneous components has led to an understanding of the role of metaphor in human cognitive activity and its use in the context of scientific knowledge for both processing new information and presenting it. The analysis of the factual material employed theoretical-analytical, descriptive, and semantic methods, comparative and cognitive analysis, as well as the method of full sampling and establishing metaphorical implications. The relevance of the work is due to the importance of identifying national characteristics in the field of terminology of specialized languages and the necessity of studying the processes of naming and professional communication from the perspective of the cognitive-communicative paradigm. The research material consisted of Spanish-language websites of tourism companies, architectural, explanatory, and bilingual dictionaries. Given the polycode nature of professional communication in architecture, which includes not only natural and graphic languages but also the languages of constructed objects, metaphorical images of architectural structures in V. Blasco Ibáñez's novel "La Catedral" were analyzed. According to the results of the analysis, the Spanish metaphor of the specialized language in the field of architecture, alongside clarifying the characteristics of an object through reinterpreting meanings and transferring the name of one object to another based on similarity and likeness, also reflects the historical, socio-cultural, and spiritual aspects of Spanish society.

Abstract: The object of this research is the news discourse of the regional online publication "Arih Us online." The subject of the work consists of the methods of persuasive speech in news texts. The empirical basis of the study consists of news materials from the online publication "Arih Us online" for March 2022 – a period of increased visitor growth (a total of over 500 news texts were analyzed). Attention is paid to the concepts of discourse, media discourse, news discourse, and online publication. The news materials are examined in terms of genre division into news articles, information reports, interviews, and reports. To attract readers' attention to the text component of the news discourse, various methods of speech influence are employed, which can be grouped according to their relation to specific language levels: phonetic, lexical, grammatical, and artistic imagery. The study applies a structural-descriptive method, which involves linguistic observation, analysis, and classification of speech influence techniques, as well as content analysis methods, including the study of publication themes, categorization of data based on the employed speech influence methods, and the analysis of quantitative indicators. The novelty of the work lies in the analysis of the news content of the regional online publication "Arih Us online" – an internet platform created by the "Arih Us" broadcasting company and registered with the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology, and Mass Media in the Republic of Buryatia, which has not been previously undertaken. During the analysis, a description of the online publication is provided, with particular attention paid to news materials: articles, information reports, news interviews, and reports, where different methods of speech influence are identified. One of the conclusions is the observation that in a third of the news texts, journalists use various methods of speech influence (in headings and main texts). The most frequent means are lexical (phraseological units, stylistic contrasts, and connotative units, etc.) and figurative (metaphors, asyndetons, rhetorical exclamations, epithets, etc.). The study allows for the conclusion that speech influence techniques are most commonly used in the genre of news articles. Content analysis of the materials indicates a demand for various methods of speech influence in texts with themes of "incident" and "health."
